Yesterday I shared a simple card I made for my sister inspired by a photo of us. You can see that post HERE. Today’s card is a fun fold Shadowbox using the same elements.
It’s no secret that I love fun folds. They are so much easier to make than it looks. I have made this shadowbox fun fold before but I learned a new way from a fellow demonstrator, Julie DiMatteo. Start with a piece of cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 11. Score on the long side at 1/2, 1, 4 1/2, 5, 5 1/2, 6, 6 1/2, 10, 10 1/2. Fold along the score lines back and forth accordion style. I stamped the sand and grasses along the bottom of the front of the card much like I did yesterday. Then I used the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut out the center. I stamped and sponged the water on the inside part before adding Tear & Tape to adhere the card together.
A simple fun fold that’s quick & easy to make. I’m loving this High Tide Stamp Set! Here’s both cards side by side. Which one do your prefer, simple or stepped up?

I have another two day post to share with you. My card today is very simple and was inspired by this recent photo of me and my sister sitting in her backyard.
Here’s my card.
This card is all about the stamping! I LOVE the High Tide Stamp Set and have used it for many cards. (You know how I love the beach and lighthouses!)
High Tide Stamp Set Item # 143006 $26
The photopolymer stamps make it so easy to see where you stamp. This was quick & easy to do as I didn’t overthink it and just stamped. I started by stamping the sand along the bottom in Sahara Sand ink. I stamped off once so it would just be a little color on top of the Soft Sky cardstock. Then I stamped the water in Dapper Denim ink and sponged lightly using a sponge dauber. I stamped the grass in Old Olive and just kept filling in the spaces until I was happy with the look.
The sentiment is from another favorite stamp set of mine, So Many Shells.

I love the sentiments (as well as the shells) in this stamp set. This saying couldn’t be any more perfect for my sister! It even has an inside sentiment to go with it!
All that was left was to cut out the chairs from Sahara Sand cardstock using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. I adhered them with a few glue dots. What do you think? Check back tomorrow to see my stepped up version.
I have four sisters and a brother. They are the best gifts my parents ever gave us! All my siblings, nieces and nephews, and now my son (who moved in March) live in Massachusetts. That means I have lots of people to visit when I come north. I have had a wonderful month long vacation with family and friends and will be heading home this week with lots of memories to cherish.
