A Gift Idea for Mother’s Day

Mother’s day is a perfect time to recognize all the wonderful moms in your life! When my daughter was little I was new in the community and joined a moms playgroup to meet people. Those wonderful women became “my village” from potty training to empty nests! Their friendship is a blessing! Today’s project would be a lovely gift for any of the moms in your life!

I have been on a roll making these oyster shell trinket holders. There are so many uses for these! (*If you missed my previous posts featuring these shells, you can click HERE or HERE.)

I took advantage of the CLEARANCE SALE and purchased the gold boxes which are the perfect size for these shells. The inspiration for the box came from a card design (found on page 28) in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.

I cut the pansy and leaves from the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper using the Pansy Dies. The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set (*one of my retiring favorites!!!). I love how the box coordinates with the shell! The bumblebee trinket is the perfect finishing touch! You can view the complete list of products used below.

I have been busy this week finishing up this month’s projects for my Just Stampin’ Card Kit and 3D Project Buffet to go. These kits will go out in the mail tomorrow. I’m so excited about this month’s 3D project I just had to share it with you!

This adorable Ghirardelli gift box is really quick & easy to make. It could hold other chocolates (Andes Mints, Nuggets), hand cream, etc. The flaps tuck inside and you can add a stamped sentiment inside the lid.

This would be a “sweet” little treat for Mother’s Day, birthday, etc. I stamped the sentiment from Timeless Tulips in Just Jade Ink.

I am looking forward to Mother’s Day this year more than ever! I come from a large family (I am one of 6 kids)! We always get together for the holidays and special occasions (except this past year during the pandemic)! I had my second vaccine yesterday and after thirteen months of quarantine, I can’t wait to travel in May to see my family for Mother’s Day!!! I love to make little gifts and table favors and I’ve been making seed packet holders for family and friends!

The sentiment I used on the inside is from Dragonfly Garden and it’s perfect for these! There are several choices for Mother’s Day sentiments/fonts. I chose two, Timeless Tulips and Dressed to Impress. I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut these out. (*When I’m creating multiples I like to cut more than one at a time.) I cut the flowers from the DSP using the Pansy Dies.

You can make these seed packets for any occasion! In my “seed search” I found seed packets for new baby, weddings, birthdays, graduation, sympathy, etc. Just change up the designer series paper and sentiment and you have a thoughtful little party or shower favor!
