I am on vacation this week (checking off a fun adventure from my Bucket List) so there is no “new” Mystery Stampin’ this week. However, you can play along with previous challenges. *See the showcase below!

What is Mystery Monday Stampin’?

If you are new to my blog, you may be wondering what is Mystery Monday Stampin’? First of all, it is super fun!!!! The best part is you USE WHAT YOU HAVE to create a handmade card! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned stamper, this is a creative way to kick off your week with stamping fun. You do not need a specific stamp set or paper. You already have what you love, so use it! There is no right or wrong way to do mystery stampin’! If you want to change it up a bit, that’s fine (and even encouraged). I am always inspired when others Go Rogue! LOL

I love to create and share fun fold cards. When you follow my clues you will end up with a fun fold card layout you can use over and over. Plus, after the Mystery is solved I share the PDF with the clues so you can print it off to make the card again. (You can find previous cards below!)

How I Do Mystery Stampin’

I offer Mystery Stampin’ each week on my blog. I do it a little different so you have all the time you need to create. (I found trying to do live mystery stamping was not for me as I would often miss clues while I was still working on the previous clue and would end up frustrated. That is the last thing I want for you!) I’ve set this up to be a fun, stress free challenge! Here’s how it works…

On Sunday, I post the first clue (which is the list of supplies you need).
On Monday, I post the rest of the clues. You have all day (or longer if you choose) to follow the clues step by step and create a handmade card.
On Tuesday, I reveal the mystery card(s) I created along with the PDF.

I enjoy seeing what you create and ask that you take a picture of your card (this is optional of course!) and email it to me (j.stark@goeaston.net). I love to share the mystery cards others create on my Sunday Showcase blog post. It’s interesting to see all the different possibilities that everyone creates. It inspires me to come up with more creative possibilities!

I love these! So creative! Everyone did such an awesome job! I love seeing all the different versions! Books make great gifts. Give one of these cards with a novel, recipe book, magazine, journal, etc. for a birthday, get well, or holiday. Or change it up and fill the pocket with a pen or other gift/treat. I would love to have you join this week’s Mystery Monday Stampin’! It’s fun and easy… just follow the clues to create! You will find the first clue (with the supplies and measurements) for this week’s challenge below.

I am really excited about this week’s mystery card. It’s another fun fold and one that I had never created like this version. Sound mysterious??? Get ready to solve the mystery.

CLUE #1 -Gather your supplies to be ready to play Mystery Monday Stampin’

Cardstock– 4 1/4” x 11” for card base
Designer Series Paper- *Cut horizontal strips (landscape): 1 @ 4 x 1 1/4, 2 @ 4 x 1 3/4, 1 @ 4 x 3/4, plus extra if decorating envelope
Basic White – 4 x 5 1/4 (for inside card) plus extra to die cut/cut for focal piece
Cardstock (coordinating color to layer) – 4 x 1
Ink/coloring tools
Stamps
Adhesive – Including Dimensionals
Embellishment- adhesive dots or gems/sequins (*optional)
Envelope
Tools – Trimmer/Score Board, Bone Folder, scissors if needed to fussy cut
*Optional – die cut, embossing folder, DSP, etc. for focal layer

Free Fun Fold Card Tutorial & Last Day for FREE SHIPPING

Happy Friday! I have a fun fold card for you today! (Actually 3 cards.) I created these Bridge Fold cards using the Serene Love Designer Series Paper (recently retired) and Countryside Corners Dies (LAST CHANCE PRODUCT). You can use any Designer Series Paper and flowers.

I love how this card opens to reveal the DSP on the inside that peeks through on the front of the card.

Supplies/Measurements:

Stamp Sets Shown: With You In Mind, Iconic Imagery (Last Chance Product), Life is Grand (retired), *Country Birdhouse, *Encircled in Nature (*Used on Inside sentiments)
Card Base (Thick Basic White): 4 1⁄4 x 11, scored @ 5 1⁄2 then cut off @ 9 1⁄2 and then cut at 7.
Cardstock (Lost Lagoon/ Night of Navy/ Old Olive): 2 1⁄2 x 4 cut with Countryside Corners Dies (3rd largest die)
DSP (Serene Love): 2 @ 4 x 1 1⁄4 (front pieces), 5 1⁄4 x 4 (inside), 4 x 1⁄2 (inside strip), 1⁄2 x 6 (envelope) fussy cut flower
Basic White: ~ 3 3⁄4 x 2 1⁄4 cut with Countryside Corners Die, 4 x 2 1⁄4 (inside layer)

Directions:

Fold and burnish card base.
Adhere the Designer Series Paper layer on the inside.
Adhere the DSP strips to the front, one to the front fold and the other to the piece that was cut off from the card base that measures 4 1⁄4 x 1 1⁄2.
Stamp sentiment on white Countryside Die piece and adhere to die cut layer. *This will be the bridge piece.
Adhere the left bridge piece to the part of the card that has the flap putting adhesive only of the left side of the bridge piece.
Lay the right card strip piece to the right edge of the card. Put adhesive on the right end of the bridge piece and close the card to adhere to the strip.
Stamp inside sentiment on white layer. Adhere DSP strip and adhere to DSP layer inside card making sure it is hidden by bridge when card is closed. Fussy cut flower and adhere to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere DSP strip to the front of the envelope ~ 1⁄4 from the bottom. Trim to fit.
