Welcome to my 12 Days of Christmas-Day 2!  I am so excited to bring you 12 days of fun Christmas projects that will hopefully inspire you to create! Today I am sharing a quick and simple card design which is great for making multiple cards.

I used the Decorative Trees Bundle and Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper. I am late to the table creating with the decorative trees. There is so much you can do with this bundle!

This set includes fun die-cut tree designs with unique polka dot, swirl, plaid, snowflake, and more patterns, giving you many creative possibilities for your seasonal crafting! Layer detailed die-cut trees to embellish and add dimension to your cards or create fun, patterned tags for gifting Christmas joy this season. I love the variety of sentiments in the stamp set too!! How fun is this sentiment on the inside of my card?!!

To Create this Project

  • Card Base (Lost Lagoon):5 1⁄2” x 8 1⁄2” score at 4 1⁄4′′
  • DSP(WinterMeadow):4 1/8 x 5 3/8, 3 x 3 3⁄4, 2 x 6 (envelope)
  • Pretty Peacock: 3 1/8 x 3 7/8, 1⁄4 x 6, scrap to punch (Labeled with Love Punch)
  • Basic White cardstock: 4 x 5 1⁄4 (inside panel), scrap to punch sentiment
  • Brushed Gold Foil: die cut tree and star (Decorative Tree Dies)
  • Specialty DSP (Season of Elegance or Oxidized Copper): 2 1⁄2 x 3 1⁄2 die cut tree
  • Pretty Peacock and Gold Ribbon: to tie a simple knot
  • Basic White Medium Envelope

Directions:

  1. Fold and burnish card base.
  2. Adhere DSP to card base.
  3. Adhere tree DSP to Pretty Peacock layer and add to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  4. Adhere gold tree and star to die cut tree. Add to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. Stamp sentiment and punch with Labeled with Love punch.
  6. Cut Pretty Peacock Labeled with Love punched cardstock in half and adhere to sides on sentiment. Add to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  7. Tie a simple knot with Pretty Peacock & Gold Ribbon and adhere to card with Mini Glue Dot.
  8. Stamp Sentiment on white layer and adhere inside card.
  9. Adhere cardstock strip and DSP to envelope flap. Trim to fit.

I wanted to start by sharing one of my favorite Christmas traditions. I love to gift (and receive) amaryllis! These bulbs are so much fun to watch grow and bloom throughout the holiday season. I buy them at Trader Joe’s (under $10) and gift them to friends and family. (I love the wax bulbs as they require no maintenance…perfect for those who lack a green thumb like me!) These make a great hostess gift, teacher gift, secret Santa gift, and/or a little something for coworkers, etc. I was so excited when Stampin’ Up! released the Artful Amaryllis Bundle! This bundle makes it easy to create the perfect card to coordinate with these plants.

I needed a sympathy card for a friend last week and delivered this card and potted bulbs. You can stamp and die cut amaryllis flowers to use on Christmas cards, thank you cards, thinking of you cards, and more! Here’s a look at the bundle.

To Create this Project

  • Card Base (CherryCobbler): 5 1⁄2”x 8 1⁄2” score at 3”and 4 1⁄4′′
  • Basic White: 2 @ 2 3⁄4 x 5 1⁄4 *Emboss front panel w/ Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder
  • DSP(Regal Distressed Patterns): 1 x 5 1/8
  • Brushed Gold Foil 1 1/8 x 5 1/4
  • Old Olive: scraps to die cut stem and leaves
  • Cherry Cobbler: scraps to die cut flowers
  • Crushed Curry: scraps to die cut flower centers
  • Gold Textured Adhesive Backed Dots

Directions:

  1. Fold & burnish score lines.
  2. Add adhesive between inside score lines. Close card to adhere to create book binding fun fold.

  3. Adhere basic white layer inside. Stamp sentiment of choice and add handwritten message.
  4. Adhere DSP to Gold Foil and then to card base.
  5. Adhere embossed layer to front of card.
  6. Adhere leaf and stem die cuts to embossed layer.
  7. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere flower pieces together then adhere  to stem.

  8. Add 3 Gold Textured Adhesive-Backed Dots to card along right side.
  9. Adhere DSP and gold foil to front of envelope.

*You do not need a specific stamp set to complete your projects.  Use whatever holiday sentiments you have to stamp your sentiments.

Orders need to be placed by November 24th.  I will email you when your kit is shipped and will include the tutorials to put your kit together.  I will be posting the projects on my blog December 1-12. You can use the tutorials to create on your own or create each day with me!
