Celebrating Spring Birthdays for the Pals Blog Hop

Pals Blog Hop badge for march 2019Welcome to the Pals’ March Blog Hop. We’re so glad you’re here because “Spring has Sprung” – at least on our blog hop if not outside! Our Design Team created beautiful projects to inspire you. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I’m excited to share a fun technique to make a simple spring wreath birthday card.

Stampin Up Accented Blooms wreath birthday card idea using the Stamparatus, Perennial Birthday stamp set and Lovely Floral Embossing Folder - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

Several friends and family members have birthdays this month so I need quite a few birthday cards. The Stamparatus makes it quick & easy to mass produce!  I attended a wreath builder workshop a few weeks ago (with Gina K of Gina K Designs) and absolutely fell in love with the wreath builder technique. I decided to make my own wreath builder template. I used the Stampin’ Up! Grid Paper and Layering Squares Framelits to cut the template.  I started with a piece of 5 x 5 grid paper and used the lines to help me line up the die.  I used the largest square and cut it twice. First I cut a straight square then I centered the die on top in a diamond and cut it again. I can use this template over and over again!

I used the same Layering Square die to cut my Whisper White cardstock to stamp my wreath design.  I placed the square piece in my template. Next, I placed the small flower from the Accented Blooms stamp set on the cardstock piece where I wanted it and closed the Stamparatus so it stuck to the plate.

I prefer to use the ink spots when I use the Stamparatus.  I have most colors from the Paper Pumpkin kits; however, if you don’t have them you can use the classic stamp pads or purchase Uninked Stampin’ Spots from my online store and use ink refills to make whatever colors you want.  I bought a few Uninked Spots for some missing colors I needed and it’s simple to do plus they save space and $.  Win! Win!

To make the wreath just turn the paper to the right and secure in the template, stamp, and repeat all the way around (going from square to diamond).

I added the sentiment by placing the stamp in the center of the wreath then closed the second plate on top of the Stamparatus to secure it.  I inked it up and closed the plate. I love having the option to use both plates! I don’t have to remove my stamps so I’ll be ready to make more wreaths quick & easy without having to place the stamp again.  I know it’s all lined up and good to go!

Another great feature of the Stamparatus is you can flip the plate over and use both sides! And that’s exactly what I did to add the sentiment for the inside.

I used my Stampin’ Blends to color the flowers and leaves.

Finishing the card was simple. My card base is 4 1/4 x 11 Night of Navy scored at 5 1/2 for a side fold card. The Daffodil Delight layer measures 4 x 5 1/4 and is embossed with the Lovely Floral Embossing Folder. I wrapped Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon around the embossed layer and secured it on the back before adhering it to the card base.  I tied a simple knot on top with another piece of ribbon.  The wreath is layered with a Navy scallop square and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I embossed the envelope to coordinate. This is one of my favorite color combinations.

Check back tomorrow to see how I changed it up a bit when I made a little boo boo! Often I like  my “oops!” just as much!  Many different stamps will work to make wreath designs.  You can bet I will be making more! See what you have and give it a try. I’ve listed the product links below. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Time to Sale-A-Brate Friendship with the Pals Blog Hop

Blog Hop Badge February 2019

Welcome to the Pals’ February blog hop. We’re so glad you’re here because it’s “Time to Sale-A-Brate”! Our Design Team created projects using Sale-A-Bration items to inspire you. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Stampin Up friend card and gift idea using Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper and Part of My Story Stamp Set - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

Today I’m “Sale-A-Brating” friendship! One of the best things about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is all the new friendships I have made over the past several years while sharing my joy of stamping!

My card and gift uses three of my favorite items from the Sale-A-Bration catalog…the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, the gorgeous Organdy Ribbon (from the combo pack), and an awesome sentiment stamp set, Part of My Story.  Here’s a peek at each of these items.   (Did I mention you can get all of these for FREE?!!)

I love to create cards and gifts to match.  This gift was quick & easy to put together for a special friend. Gather some rocks, tree branches, and some store bought moss and put it all in a jar. (The rocks hold the branches in place.)  I fussy cut the large butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper and attached them to the branches with glue dots.  This gift will last much longer than a bouquet of flowers! Choose the butterflies that match your home decor or stamp your own using the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set from the Occasions catalog!

For the coordinating card I used another pattern from the Botancial Butterfly DSP for my background.  I used the Seasonal Layers Thinlits to cut the branch and then fussy cut another large butterfly from the DSP.  I punched the small butterfly from another pattern of the DSP using the Butterfly Duet Punch.  (I love how you can use the butterfly punch with the coordinating Butterfly Gala Stamp Set or the Designer Series Paper.  More bang for your buck!!)

I popped up the butterfly layer, the larger butterfly, and the sentiment layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment from Part of My Story can be used for many occasions! (Check back tomorrow to see how I used it for my Valentine’s Day cards! Make sure you subscribe to my blog to get an email each time I post.)

The finishing touch was adding the beautiful bow made with the organdy ribbon!  The best part about this project is I got the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack, and Part of My Story Stamp Set for FREE! You can too with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration (now through March 31st).

Art from the Heart for the Pals Blog Hop

2019 January From The Heart graphic for BLog Hop

Welcome to the Pals monthly blog hop. We’re so glad you’re here! January is all about making “Art from the Heart,” featuring projects for Valentines Day, Thinking of You, Get Well, or Sympathy. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Stampin Up Large Letter Framelits and Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies Framed Art Gift Ideas for Valentine's Day, Wedding, or Anniversary - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I love to make 3D projects to give as gifts. (Did you see the other framed projects I made for Christmas?) Today’s projects are quick & easy using the Large Letters Framelits and a 4 x 6 picture frame.

My first project makes a great Valentine or anniversary gift for the love of your life. Who will you give the “key to your heart”?

Stampin Up Large Letter Framelits and Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies Framed Art Gift Ideas for Valentine's Day, Wedding, or Anniversary - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I started with a piece of 4 x 6 All My Love Designer Series Paper.  The beautiful heart is from the Be Mine Stitched Framelit Dies which is part of the All My Love Suite in the new Occasions catalog.  I cut the heart and die from thick Whisper White cardstock and adhered them to the DSP.  I made a matching bow using Lovely Lipstick Ribbon and adhered it on top with a glue dot.  The finishing touch was adding the key from the Classic Garage Metal Elements.

After 33 years I’m giving this “key to my heart” to my husband!

I couldn’t wait to make my next project as soon as I saw the gorgeous Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper! My beautiful niece got married last summer and the dress she wore for her engagement photo matched the fresh fig floral vellum design.

I used another heart from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies and this one cuts out the heart in the center as well as the scalloped frame. I cut the photo and a piece of Fresh fig cardstock and adhered the photo inside the framed piece.

The soft elegant designs in the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper are perfect for weddings, anniversaries, and more. It is so easy to hand cut the vellum to use for accents like I did on the corner of my frame. Here’s a look at the other designs.  (It’s one of my favorite paper packs in the Occasions catalog!)
