Welcome back for another Mystery Monday Stampin’! I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise!
Yesterday I shared your first clue. *Please note, I went back and edited the cardstock measurements to make it better. If you missed that post or need to recheck the measurements, Click HERE for Clue #1
Now that you have your cardstock, designer series paper, and other supplies, it’s time to create! Simply follow the clues step by step to create a beautiful card. Feel free to add your own twist…there is no right or wrong way to do Mystery Monday Stampin’! Here are the rest of the clues:
CLUE #2
Score the 6 3/4 x 5 1/2 cardstock along the 6 3/4″ side @ 2 1/2. Fold and burnish. *The 2 1/2″ section will be the front of the portrait style card.
CLUE #3
Center and adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 cardstock layer on the inside of the card. Adhere the 2 3/8 x 5 1/4 cardstock on the front of the card against the right edge so it will look like it’s extending across the front of the card.
CLUE #4
Center and adhere the 3 x 4 1/4 cardstock on the inside. Then adhere the 2 3/8 x 5 1/4 cardstock to the front (repeating what you did in Clue #3) with it against the right edge so it will look like it’s one piece extending across the card.
CLUE #5
To create the fun fold, score the DSP (with the design face up) along the 10 1/2″ side @ 1 3/4, 2 3/4, 5 3/8, and 8. Fold in mountain, mountain, valley, valley.
CLUE #6
To adhere the DSP fun fold to the card front, apply adhesive only to the back of the left (1 3/4″) section. Adhere the left section of DSP so the score line is flush along the right edge of the card front. There should be equal border along the top, bottom, and left side.
CLUE #7
Open the card and lay it out flat with the the remaining DSP off to the right. Fold the last section of DSP on top of the section next to it. Then fold it over again. With the panels folded on top of each other, apply adhesive just to the section that is showing on top. Adhere by taking the right side of the card base and closing it on top of the DSP. *I found this makes it easier to make sure it’s closes properly and is centered on the inside.
CLUE #8
Stamp/Punch/Die Cut sentiment and/or image to create a focal piece. With the card closed, adhere the focal piece to the card front, only adhering to the 1″ section of the DSP.
CLUE #9
Stamp hidden message on 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 white piece. Open DSP flap and adhere message inside card.
CLUE #10
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments? Trim/Ribbon? Add that now.
CLUE #11
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.
