Rewind & Redo with Sunset Coast

I am on my way home after a wonderful family vacation and thought I would share another “rewind & redo” project with you as well as a few photos from our trip. I’ve been looking back at some of the past projects I’ve shared on my blog the last 10 years and redoing them with some of my favorite current products. West Chop Lighthouse is a private residence so we could not tour it! How cool would it be to live in a lighthouse?!!!!! Below is the view of it from the water I took the photo as we were leaving on the ferry.

Let’s take a closer look at each of today’s cards.

I love this card for so many reasons! I especially love how the focal image is cut out so you see it again when you open the card.

I achieved this look by cutting through both layers on the front of my card with the Largest Stylish Shapes Circle. Then I cut out the same circle again from Night of Navy cardstock. I centered the Sunset Coast lighthouse die on top of the Circle Die and ran it through the Cut & Emboss Machine again. This created the layer to glue on top of the DSP Circle. I also cut the seagulls die from a scrap piece for a little extra embellishment.

Lighthouses are a beacon of hope. I love visiting lighthouses everywhere I go! You can view a previous post showing some of these lighthouses and another fun fold card I created HERE.
Last year was a dream come true for me when I got to be a lighthouse keeper. You can read about that adventure HERE.

My second card uses the same Scenic Coast DSP and Sunset Coast Die set.

I could have repeated the process above and created another circle cut out; however this time I wanted to show a different look you can achieve with this fun fold. I used the Everyday Arches Dies to cut out my focal scene. Instead of using DSP on the front of the card I chose to substitute cardstock which I embossed with the Soft Waves Dies to add a little texture. Here’s how it looks when you open the card.
