One of my favorite parts of creating my Birthday Surprise Party Kit last month was coordinating the “party favors”. This kit was all about my favorite things and I had so much fun putting together little surprises that greet you before the crafting even begins.
I tried to keep costs down as the proceeds from these kits went to Pet Connect Rescue (petconnectrescue.org).
I used recycled Paper Pumpkin boxes and tissue paper, some retired DSP, etc.
The kit included 4 cards (3 fun folds and 1 technique card) as well as some fun birthday treats and gifts.
I am so grateful that I was able to donate $250!

Here’s a look at each of the gifts and cards included in the kit.
I made an adorable scissor charm for everyone as a little reminder of their contribution to help other pets find their forever home.

I used Stampin’ Blends and the Cutest Crew Bundle to stamp, color, and cut the adorable puppies. This bundle is a “must have” for any pet lover!!!

I love having this little pawprint charm on my favorite scissors.
It’s not a party without cake so I included these Cake Bites with a candle and a coordinated birthday card.
Fun fact: This cake reminded me of my favorite homemade four layer cake my mom used to make. It had different fillings between each chocolate layer: pistachio, peppermint, and maple. Then she covered the whole cake with chocolate whip cream. It was a treat for the eyes and taste buds!!!

I’m currently reading a book I received for my birthday from a friend, Theo of Golden. I am really enjoying it!

This fun fold card is a Vertizontal card. You can CLICK HERE to see more pocket card ideas and download a FREE PDF to create this card.
You can add a gift card, tea bag, etc. in the inside pocket.
I created a simple “party favor” to go with this card. 
This simple nail file holder can be made in many different sizes. (I’ve also made them for pens, pencils, etc.) This is a favorite “tool” in my craft room. If your trimmer blade leaves rough edges on your cardstock (a sign you need to replace it), you can use the nail file to “sand” the sides and get rid of the rough edges. 🙂
This last card is probably my favorite one in the kit.
Fun Fact: I LOVE the beach!!!!! It’s my Happy Place! Sunshine, sand between my toes, the sound of the waves crashing, salty air, and a good book! AAHHH!
The Rolling Waves Bundle is an online exclusive set (you won’t see it in any catalog) and one of my favorites!!!!
