Today’s card uses a retired stamp set (Artistic Etchings) that I bought awhile back in anticipation of our trip which we had been planning for years. I needed several thank you notes for all the wonderful friends who helped us prepare for our journey by lending advice, luggage, electrical adapters, etc. We had such a wonderful time abroad and I really appreciated everything they did to help make it memorable. (I’ll share some photos of our trip at the end.)
I CASEd this card from the amazing Mary Fish with just a few changes. In the stamping world, CASE means Copy And Share Everything. That is one of the things I love about card making… everyone is so willing to share their ideas and inspiration.
The card stock and DSP I chose is Pistachio Pudding because of the delicious little gifts I brought back from France. A friend told me to try the macarons at Laduree and Oh My… it was love at first bite! Pistachio was my favorite! Here’s a few pictures of these delightful little goodies.

I used the Stampin’ Up note cards and envelopes to make my cards. I make a lot of thank you cards and I love these note cards. They are just the right size for a handwritten message and they are a great deal… you get 20 cards and envelopes for $6.00. You probably know by now that I like to make everything coordinate and you can see how my card matches the gift bag and pistachio macarons.

I thought you might enjoy this little story.

I love to make matching envelopes. It’s a little sneak peek to what’s inside and so much better than just a plain envelope.

Here’s a few photos as promised from our time in France.
