I’ve created joy fold cards in the past; however, this is the first time I made it with the added diagonal twist. I really like it! It was fun making these and this is an easy card to adapt with any DSP, embossing folders, etc. Here’s a closer look at each of my cards.

This card is all about the Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Series Paper. I think this is my favorite birthday DSP Stampin’ Up! has ever offered!

The Wildflower Birthday 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper is full of designs that are ready to party! You get 10 sheets of double-sided designs, some with party designs, some with all-purpose designs, and some with tags. You also get 2 sheets of ready-to-use die cuts. I love that it comes with die cut images you can just pop out and use on your projects. Makes creating beautiful cards so quick & easy! The flower and cake image used as the focal piece on my card are from the DSP die cuts. I added some pool party ink to the white cardstock using a blending brush to further highlight the focal image.

I really like how this joy fold lifts up and can be easily displayed with your personal message hidden under the flap.

For my second card I chose to “go rogue” and use the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder in lieu of DSP. I love the added texture you get with using embossing folders.

I combined the Spring Corners Stamp Set with the Mixed Florals to highlight the focal piece. I used Stampin’ Blends to color the floral images and popped up the flowers using foam adhesive sheets.

I stamped and colored another floral image on the inside of my card and added a sentiment from Notes & Totes.

Lastly, I stamped and colored the envelope to coordinate.

It’s time for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

I went straight across the middle for my 3 in a row: Beach, Blue, Ink Blending. Here’s my card.

Here are the details to create this fun fold card.

Measurements/Supplies:

Stamp Set/Bundle: Sunrise Sailing
Card Base (Secret Sea): 4 ¼ x 8 ½ scored @ 4 1/4
Cardstock (Cloud Cover): 4 x 4 and 2 ½ x 5 ⅞ embossed with Soft Waves 3D embossing folder
Cardstock (Lemon Lolly): Cut 3” circle with Stylish Shapes Dies
Cardstock (Secret Sea) : Die cut sailboat and sails
Basic White: 4 x 4 (inside layer), scrap strip to stamp sentiment & die cut seagulls
Tools: Stylish Shapes Dies, Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder, Blending Brushes

Directions:
1. Fold and burnish card base.
2. Adhere embossed layer to card base.
3. Sponge Lemon Lolly Circle die cut with Timid Tiger and Daffodil Delight
ink. *Sponge off the shape first then add color with circle motion
starting at the bottom and working up.
4. Adhere the Circle to the card base making sure not to go higher than 5 ½”.
*You can use your grid paper to line up the card and circle or place card on
the envelope and line up the circle on top so it will fit in the envelope.
5. Adhere sail to boat. Add to card front with Stampin’ Dimesionals. Adhere
seagulls with liquid Glue.
6. Stamp sentiment on white strip and adhere to card with Stampin’
Dimensionals.
7. Adhere 4×4 white layer inside for stamped sentiment or handwritten
message.
8. Adhere embossed layer to envelope flap.
