I have a lot of friends and family members with fall birthdays! Over the next week or so I thought I would share some of the birthday cards I’ve made. Today’s card is for my friend Susan…today is her birthday! Many of you know her from her blog, simplestampin.com. I’d love for you to leave her a comment below to wish her a happy birthday. Here’s the card I made for her.

I love fun fold cards. This one is called a bridge fold and it is really quick & easy to create! I used the Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set and Gathered Leaves Dies along with the the gorgeous Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper. Here’s a peek at the different patterned papers.

Here’s the details to create this fun fold card:

Measurements:

Card Base (Mint Macaron): 4 1/4 x 8 scored at 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 5 1/2, 6 3/4 on the long side.
DSP (Gilded Autumn): Cut 4 1×4″ strips
Very Vanilla: cut 2 pieces 2 3/4 x 4 to stamp sentiment on front/back.
Bridge: 5 1/2 x width of choice. Mine is 3/4 and has a layer of copper foil and Mint Macaron Basket Weave ribbon (for a bit of texture).

Directions:

Adhere the 4 DSP strips to the card panels. Stamp the sentiment in Cajun Craze ink and adhere to the center panel. The bridge piece is adhered to the side panels. Cut the leaves from Cajun Craze and Mint Macaron cardstock using the Gathered Leaves Dies.(*I love how these dies cut and emboss at the same time!)  Add the acorn trinket to the linen bow and adhere it with a glue dot. The pumpkin is fussy cut from another pattern in the Gilded Autumn DSP and adhered with a glue dot.

I stamped a sentiment from So Sentimental on the back.

The card folds flat to fit in an envelope.
