This fun fold design is new to me. I got the idea from Karen Titus. It looks tricky to make, but really isn’t. I have a bunch of photos to share with you. Here’s a closer look at each of my cards.

I absolutely LOVE the Coneflower Celebrations Bundle! The dies cut out a card in the shape of a coneflower—just cut, fold, and stamp! The die cut flower is a fun fold on it’s own! Look how you can open the flower to add a stamped sentiment on the inside.

Make flower-themed cards for birthdays, belated birthdays, and thanks with the Coneflower Celebrations Bundle of stamps and dies. This stamp set has great sentiments! I fussy cut the sentiment I added on the side of my card.

You can also use these dies to cut a tag: just cut out a flower and punch a hole in the top to thread ribbon through. I love that this set is so versatile!

I added 2 layers on top of my flower using the detailed die. I also used my blending brush to add a little extra color.

The DSP I used on my strips and envelope is from the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper (*Last Chance Product). I love how the navy print background makes the flower pop! This is one of my favorite color combs. You can view the complete list of products used to create this card below.

I colored the leaves and acorns with my Stamping Blends and then cut them out with the coordinating die. I also cut out extra acorns so I could fussy cut the tops to add a more realistic raised “cap” on the acorns. (A special thanks to my sister, Cindy for that tip/suggestion!!) The sentiment layer and the leaves/acorn dies are popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

It’s Tic Tac Toe Thursday and that means it’s time for another challenge! This week’s board was designed by Rosanne and it has fun elements!

I created Tic Tac Toe going down the left side and across the middle. Anytime there’s a choice to create a fun fold I’m in! The dutch door fun fold is one I haven’t done in a long time. Here’s my card.

I had originally intended to use the Glorious Gingham 6×6 Designer Series Paper for this card; however, the Inked Botanicals DSP was on my desk so I went with that. The card just evolved from there. I used some gingham ribbon to add the gingham element and it worked out great. You won’t find the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder in the catalog but it is still available to purchase. It is one of the Online Exclusives. (*Make sure you check out all the online exclusives…. New items were added this month!) Here’s a closer look at the embossing.

To make this fun fold start with a piece of 4 1/4 x 11 cardstock and score it at 5 1/2. Don’t fold along the score line just yet as you will want to cut first. Lay your paper in the paper trimmer at the halfway mark, 2 1/8″. Cut from the end in to the score line then rotate the paper and cut up to the cut line. You are removing the top portion of your card front.

I stamped the wreath on Very Vanilla cardstock with Lost Lagoon and cut it out with the coordinating dies. I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut the largest square from Very Vanilla and layered it with lost lagoon. Adhere to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals just along the bottom half. Here’s a look at the inside of this card.

The Very Vanilla cardstock and Designer Series Paper measure 2 x 5 1/4. The sentiment is stamped in Calypso Coral. The ends are punched using Banners Pick A Punch and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals in the center. There’s plenty of room to add a handwritten message and sign below.
