Today is Thursday which means it’s time for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge! This week’s challenge is as easy as ABC!

When I created this challenge board I had no idea what I was going to create. I just picked an element for each letter A-I. Today’s card idea came together quick & easy as I started thinking about what I could create. You know how I LOVE fun folds so I started with that and then thought what I could make that would be angled and that’s where I started…An angled double gate fold.

To make this fun fold start with a piece of designer series paper that is 5 1/2 x 12. Score on the 12″ side at 2, 4, 8,and 10. Mark the center on each 5 1/2″ side at 2 3/4. Then make diagonal cuts from the top of the DSP at the 4″ and 8″ score lines to the 2 3/4″ mark on each side.

This is what is should look like after you cut and fold on the score lines.

I used other elements from the challenge board to decorate my card. My daughter just turned 20 so I used the Number of Years Stamp Set to mark the occasion. Using a circle die cut to stamp and heat emboss my greeting combined 4 elements from my board. I made a belly from a 1 x 9 1/2 piece of whisper white cardstock which I wrapped around my card and adhered in the front. I also adhered some coordinating Fresh Fig Ribbon with Tear & Tape then I attached the layering circles to the belly band with Stampin Dimensionals.

The inside of my card offers some inspirational thoughts for my daughter’s milestone birthday. I used the Fresh Fig Stampin’ Marker to write my message and added a bow using 1/2″Finely Woven Fresh Fig Ribbon. I love the way this card can display on a desk, bookcase, or mantle.

I used the same Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper to decorate the flap on the envelope.

Fun Fold Swap Card from Cindy H.

I’m excited to share another beautiful card from my Fun Fold Card Swap! You are in for a treat as I share each of these cool fun folds. Cindy made a Triple Panel card using the popular Beautiful You stamp set. (You can click on the stamp image below to see more ideas using this stamp set in my online store.)

Cindy used the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to emboss the side panels. She also did the Paper Piecing Technique for the dress and umbrella. I love the way she used the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper to stamp the image a second time then fussy cut the dress and adhered it on top of the center panel. Such a fun technique to give a “designer” look to the dress!

A Mini Treat Bag for Tic Tac Toe Challenge #4

It’s Thursday so that means it’s time to play Tic Tac Toe! I am so excited to be the designer for this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge. Of course my Tic Tac Toe Challenge is an abc board. I used all 9 elements on my project this week. Can you find them?

I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die to make a gift card holder. I embossed the bag using the Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The DSP is from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack. Happy Birthday is heat embossed using Dapper Denim Ink , VersaMark, and Clear Embossing Powder. (I love this shade of blue.) I colored the flowers using my blender pen and In Color Inks in Dapper Denim and Lemon Lime Twist. I added a Perfect White Accent to my ribbon.

The mini treat bag is so easy to make using the dies. Check out this short video to see how to put it together as well as some of the different projects you can make using these dies.

I love the versatility of these dies! Know what else I LOVE…the new 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Layered Leaves!!! You can create deep, dimensional embossed impressions so quick & easy. It is a little different process to emboss because it is a thick folder. You need to spritz the paper first with water to get a deep impression. Here’s a quick (3 min.) video explaining how it works and how to make your embossing “sandwich”.

I love the final results and can see using this embossing folder again and again. It really adds a quick & easy WOW to any project!

I hope you will play along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge. It is really easy and fun to do! I had never done a challenge before the TTTC and couldn’t believe how easy it is to create by simply choosing the elements from the challenge board. I knew I wanted to use the In Colors so I pulled the In Color DSP and Dapper Denim (for blue) and decided that I liked Lemon Lime Twist with the blue. I decided to include “gift” from the board and I immediately thought of a gift card holder. All I had to do was choose a stamp set and cardstock and let the items dictate what I create. It is a fun way to make something different. I am amazed at how quick & easy it is to come up with an idea when you have the items right in front of you. I did not start out intending to use all 9 elements but it just came together once I started to create using the different elements in front of me. Give it a try!
