Stampin' Up! ABC Color Series - visit juststampin.com for color inspiration and color combinations from A to Z - Jeanie Stark StampinUp
Welcome to my ABC Color Series! Stampin’ Up! offers so many great color choices!  I love to combine different colors and patterns and hope to inspire you with some fun color combinations throughout this series. Today’s projects feature Daffodil Delight. This color has been around for awhile, probably because it is a bright cheery color that pairs well with many different colors.

One of my favorite color combinations is yellow with black & white. It’s a classic color combo and you can add just about any other color with it for an added pop! I created these thank you cards to send to my customers this month.

The daisies are from the Cheerful Daisies Bundle and certainly live up to their name. I stamped the outline in Memento Black Ink and added the Daffodil Delight in the center. I cut them out with the coordinating Dies and added an extra pop of color with the stems die cut in Granny Apple Green. I love the black & white gingham ribbon.

I always try to conserve my Designer Series Paper. I cut the pieces 2 x 3 (so I could get 6 cards from each piece of 6×6 DSP.) Then I cut each 2 x 3 piece in half so it measures 2 x 1 1/2 and adhered them to the sides of the Basic White Note Card. (*Use your grid paper to make sure to line them up straight.) The gap in the middle will be covered when you add the 2 1/2 x 3 1/2  layer with the daisy & ribbon.

I adhered the layer piece and the daisy with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment is from Go To Greetings. (Another stamp set that lives up to it’s name!) This is such a fun card!

I also love to pair Daffodil Delight with gray and white. My next project uses the Artistic Dies and a Smoky Slate card base.
Stampin' Up! Artistic Dies and Fern 3D Embossing Folder card idea for a friend-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I love to add a little texture to my projects and the Fern 3D embossing folder did just that for this clean & simple card. I love the sentiment from the Apple Harvest Stamp set!

The Artistic Dies are so versatile and can be used on their own for many different occasions! This die could be used for a birthday, wedding, anniversary, or sympathy card. Works great for vertical or horizontal cards.

Flower & Field Meets Ornate Borders

One of the (many) things I love about Stampin’ Up! is it’s product coordination! I found a piece of cardstock that I had cut with the Ornate Borders Dies and thought it looked a lot like one of the patterns from the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper. When I put the two together it was like they were made for each other. What do you think?

Here’s the measurements:

  • Card Base (Misty Moonlight): 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4, 1/4 x 6 (envelope)

  • Designer Series Paper (Flower & Field): 3 x 5 1/2, 2 x 6 (envelope flap)

This is a simple card to make and assemble. Layer the DSP to the Basic White die cut piece. Wrap Misty Moonlight ribbon under the DSP piece and secure on back. Adhere to card base. Tie a bow and adhere to front of card with a Mini Glue Dot.
