Welcome to my ABC Holiday 2019 Series! Throughout this series I will be sharing all kinds of cards, gifts, and ideas to help make your holidays as easy as ABC! I love to decorate for the holidays and have collected so many ornaments over the years that I put up several trees. (My son refers to our home as the “forest” during the holidays. LOL) One tree has a collection of White House ornaments from my mother-in-law.  She gave us one every year and I have continued this tradition after her passing as my kids love this tree as much as my husband and me. It is a beautiful reminder of a wonderful lady! We have several other “theme” trees; however, my favorite tree to decorate is the family tree with my kids homemade ornaments from over the years. (I also have a photo ornament of them from every year which brings back memories as I put them on the tree.) So, now that you know all about my love of ornaments, you can understand why the Christmas Gleaming Bundle (which includes the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set and Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack) was among my “must haves” from the holiday catalog! Here’s a look at the bundle.

Here’s a fun project I made.

I love punches! They make it quick & easy to create! You can stamp and punch different ornaments from the stamp set or punch Designer Series Paper like I did for this project. Do you recognize this DSP? It is a special limited edition from a new suite, Christmastime is Here, which will be available November 1st.

This paper is absolutely gorgeous! *I will be offering a special product share so you can get a taste of the paper, ribbon, and embellishments without breaking the bank! (Look for more details coming soon!)

I punched 20 of each ornament from two different patterns of the DSP, folded 15 of each in half and glued 3 together for each ornament. Then each one was glued to a flat (unfolded) punched ornament. You need 5 large ornaments and 5 small ornaments to make this project.

I punched a 1 3/8″ Circle from Cherry Cobbler cardstock and glued the 5 large ornaments first then the 5 smaller ornaments in between.

Next I punched a 1 1/4″ gold foil circle and a 1″ circle from the DSP and layered the two together.  I stacked 3 Stampin’ Dimensionals in the middle of the ornament and adhered the layered circles.  I used the Gold Glimmer Ribbon (available Nov. 1st) to make a bow and attached it with Glue Dots in the center. I stamped a sentiment on Whisper White Shimmery Cardstock and punched it out with the 2 1/4″ Circle Punch.  I added a ribbon loop and a few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (also from the Christmastime is Here Suite available Nov. 1st) and adhered on the back.

This can be used as a tag on a gift or wine bottle, ornament on a tree, or as a display on a table.

I purchased the display stand shown at Pier One Imports. You can find different versions at most big box stores in the craft section. This would make a wonderful gift for a friend, family member, or hostess. These colors are perfect for my mom (but I love it so much I might not be able to part with it)! I will be definitely be making more! I can’t wait to try different color combinations!
