I made these two cards at the Make & Take in Atlanta for World Card Making Day. I have several friends who enjoy Mexican food and these cards will be perfect for them! I embellished the cards by fussy cutting designs from the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper to add the sombreros as well as the pinata, maracas, and guitar on the cards and envelopes.

Welcome to my series, The ABC’s with DSP! This month I am featuring projects showcasing Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper. I made today’s card using the Festive Birthday DSP for my friend Jen. We had a fun Girls Night Out at a local Mexican restaurant to celebrate her birthday. I thought this card was perfect for the ocassion.
This card was fairly easy to put together. I used Emerald Envy as the card base and adhered a piece of the banner DSP from Festive Birthday on top. I cut a 1/2″ strip of the floral design and attached that on top. The adorable llama was stamped then cut with the matching framelit (You can buy this set as a bundle and SAVE 10%!). I cut out the sombrero from a piece of DSP in the paper pack. The blanket was cut using a framelit from another design in the DSP pack. This card was so much fun to make! I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to make a colorful sentiment on the inside.
Here’s a couple of pictures from our birthday celebration for Jen!
Here’s another look at Jen’s card with the matching envelope.
