Celebrating A 106th Birthday!!!

June 13, 2026June 13, 2026 ~ Jeanie Stark ~ 14 Comments

Today is the 106th birthday of an amazing woman in our community. I have enjoyed creating items for this event and helping celebrate this milestone with so many others in our community. The celebration started on June 1st gifting her with these Happy Birthday boxes I put together. (It worked out perfectly… Happy Birthday has 13 letters and her birthday is on the 13th!)
Stampin' Up! Simply Classic Treat Boxes ad Alphabet A La Mode Dies Birthday advent boxes-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I used the Simply Classic Treat Boxes and Alphabet A La mode dies. I bought several packages of these boxes when they went on clearance and am so glad I did! Red is her favorite color so I used a couple of retired punches to create the flowers and leaves. A few pearl embellishments and these were done in less than an hour!

Each box is filled with a message and/or treat for the day. So many wonderful people came together to help celebrate each day by bringing her flowers and meals, providing a manicure/spa treatment, playing music, etc. At 106 you don’t want too many surprises so opening the birthday boxes one at a time let her know what to look forward to each day.

On Tuesday I picked up and delivered lunch from Chick Fil A for her and others.

Of course I had to make her a chicken card to coordinate! LOL
Stampin' Up! Hey Birthday Chick fun fold birthday card idea-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I pulled from my retired stash and used the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set and dies for this card. This window bridge card idea is from Linda Heller. An acetate window sheet creates the see through.

I love the “spring chicken” sentiment!!

Thursday was ice cream sundae day and I got to roll the ice cream cart and fix sundaes for her and others. I played the ice cream truck music to let them know I was coming. LOL

I also created this “no calorie” cake and mini card for the last box.

Today her family and friends came to celebrate and brought cake and food. Her cake was beautiful (and delicious)!!!

Everyone has been sending cards (in hopes we would reach a total of 106). Last count she received 107!!!! WOW! 🙂

Here is one I created using one of my favorite past Paper Pumpkin Kits, Time For Cake.
Stampin' Up! Time for Cake Paper Pumpkin fun fold birthday card alternative idea-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I got this fun fold alternative idea from Lynn Dunn. I love how it opens up…

I had the perfect sentiment to go with this card from the Best of Birthdays (retired) stamp set. I wish I took a close up as it’s hard to see in the photo. It says, “a candle for every year might not be such a good idea…” LOL Our birthday girl has a great sense of humor and I think she will agree with this!

Helping with this celebration has just filled my heart with joy! There were 5 generations together today! What an amazing accomplishment!

I love that this craft we share and enjoy brings so much joy to us and others!

FYI…Today is the LAST DAY for FREE SHIPPING!!!

My Birthday Surprise Party Kit Gifts & More

April 10, 2026April 10, 2026 ~ Jeanie Stark ~ 3 Comments

I have lots of inspiration and fun facts for you today (and many links)!
Grab your favorite drink, sit back, relax, and enjoy reading through til the end!

One of my favorite parts of creating my Birthday Surprise Party Kit last month was coordinating the “party favors”. This kit was all about my favorite things and I had so much fun putting together little surprises that greet you before the crafting even begins.
www.juststampin.com
Stampin' Up! birthday card kit to go-visit juststampin.com for inspiration, monthly kits, ordering information, and more-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I tried to keep costs down as the proceeds from these kits went to Pet Connect Rescue (petconnectrescue.org).
I used recycled Paper Pumpkin boxes and tissue paper, some retired DSP, etc.
The kit included 4 cards (3 fun folds and 1 technique card) as well as some fun birthday treats and gifts.

I am so grateful that I was able to donate $250!
Thank you to all who purchased!!!!
(Actual proceeds were $254. I bought Bo a new toy to even things out!)
Here’s a look at each of the gifts and cards included in the kit.
Stampin' Up! Cutest Crew scissor charm gift idea-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I made an adorable scissor charm for everyone as a little reminder of their contribution to help other pets find their forever home.
You can CLICK HERE to see how to make simple gift packaging with a little DSP.

I used Stampin’ Blends and the Cutest Crew Bundle to stamp, color, and cut the adorable puppies. This bundle is a “must have” for any pet lover!!!
Stampin' Up! Cutest Crew stamp set-visit juststampin.com for inspiration, ordering information, and more-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
Say hello to the Cutest Crew—an endearing stamp set filled with playful pups, curious kitties, and chirpy little birds, ready to bring charm to your handmade cards and paper crafts. The sweet sentiments and whimsical line art are perfect for so many occasions, whether you’re sending birthday wishes or a just-because note. The open designs are easy to color, inviting you to customize each adorable critter!

I love having this little pawprint charm on my favorite scissors.

It’s not a party without cake so I included these Cake Bites with a candle and a coordinated birthday card.
Stampin' Up! Cake Day fun fold birthday card with painted Illusions Designer Series Paper-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
Fun fact: This cake reminded me of my favorite homemade four layer cake my mom used to make. It had different fillings between each chocolate layer: pistachio, peppermint, and maple. Then she covered the whole cake with chocolate whip cream. It was a treat for the eyes and taste buds!!!

The fun fold card features the Cake Day Bundle. The stamp set has sold out but the die set (which is used for the cake) is currently available for 50% off!

Stampin' Up! Cake Day Dies-visit juststampin.com for inspiration, ordering information, and more-Jeanie Stark StampinUp — Cake Day Dies (Reg. $36. **SALE $14.40**) AWSL

The perfect handmade birthday card is a piece of cake with the Cake Day Dies! Cut out a greeting card in the shape of a cake slice and personalize your design with swirled frosting details, delicate macarons, and dazzling candles. The flag and banner dies offer a perfect spot to highlight a festive birthday sentiment!

Here’s another Fun fact: I love to read!!! (I bet you already knew that! LOL)
I’m currently reading a book I received for my birthday from a friend, Theo of Golden. I am really enjoying it!
Here’s the fun fold bookmark card I created.

This fun fold card was one of the featured designs for Mystery Monday Stampin. You can see the other cards I created and get all the details (and a FREE PDF) to make this card HERE.

The Hobby Haven Designer Series Paper I used to create this card (and another card in the kit) is currently on clearance and it’s on sale for $14.85!!

Bring your favorite pastimes to life with the Hobby Haven 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper. Charming illustrations inspired by baking, sewing, reading, and other simple pleasures make this paper perfect for creating personalized cards and gift packaging. Two sheets of precut pieces and plenty of fussy cutting potential make it easy to add depth and detail to your handmade designs.

Here’s the other card in the kit using this DSP.

Fun Fact: I love going to the spa! Spa days are the best therapy!
(Especially when enjoyed with a friend!)

This fun fold card is a Vertizontal card. You can CLICK HERE to see more pocket card ideas and download a FREE PDF to create this card.
You can add a gift card, tea bag, etc. in the inside pocket.
Stampin' Up! Hobby Haven Birthday card idea-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I created a simple “party favor” to go with this card.
This simple nail file holder can be made in many different sizes. (I’ve also made them for pens, pencils, etc.) This is a favorite “tool” in my craft room. If your trimmer blade leaves rough edges on your cardstock (a sign you need to replace it), you can use the nail file to “sand” the sides and get rid of the rough edges. 🙂

This last card is probably my favorite one in the kit.
Stampin' Up! Rolling Waves birthday card idea-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
Fun Fact: I LOVE the beach!!!!! It’s my Happy Place! Sunshine, sand between my toes, the sound of the waves crashing, salty air, and a good book! AAHHH!

The Rolling Waves Bundle is an online exclusive set (you won’t see it in any catalog) and one of my favorites!!!!
Stampin' Up! Rolling Waves Bundle-Visit juststampin.com for inspiration, ordering information, and more-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
Create realistic seaside scenes with the Rolling Waves Bundle. It features coordinating stamps and dies that you can layer to create waves, palm fronds, starfish, seashells, and umbrellas. It’s perfect for summer cards, scrapbooks, and seaside projects, with sentiments for birthdays, thinking of you, and thanks.

Everyone who purchased the kit received a “birthday gift” from me. I made these trinket dishes from oyster shells. It’s my way of saying thank you for being a part of this amazing stamping community.

You can visit my facebook page (facebook.com/juststampin/)to see some of the many different shells I create. I love to repurpose shells into gifts, home decor, celebration of life/wedding/baby/shower favors, etc. They make great gifts for friends, family, hostess, Mother’s Day, etc.!!!
