Next week Stampin’ Up! will be releasing the retiring products from the Annual Catalog. One thing we know for sure is the 2022-2024 In Colors are retiring. I have certainly enjoyed these bright and cheery In Colors! Once the retiring list comes out the In Colors usually sell out fast! If any of these colors are your favorites, make sure you have ink refills, blends, cardstock, etc. I am going to miss these colors!!!

I knew I wanted to use this stamp set to make a Valentine card for my grand nephew. One of my favorite gifts to give (to both kids and adults) is books. What kind of card do you make to give with a book?….a book fold card (of course)!

FYI…If you are a grandma (or have a friend who is) this book would be a wonderful gift for young grandchildren! The book is available from Amazon. I am not a grandma yet (hopefully one day) but I do get to enjoy my sister’s adorable grandson. I love that he loves books! I know my sister will read this one with him again and again! So it’s really a gift for both of them.

Coloring with Stampin’ Blends brought this adorable owl to life. I found the perfect colors to match the book cover from the 2022-2024 In Colors, Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis.

I used Perched In A Tree stamp set and coordinating Aspen Tree Dies to create the branch. Here’s the details if you would like to make this card.

Measurements & Details

Starry Sky Cardbase: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 4 1/4″ and 5 1/2″
Orchid Oasis: 3 7/8 x 7/8, 3 7/8 x 3 7/8, 3 1/8 x 3 1/8, scrap to layer sentiment
2022-2024 In Color DSP (Starry Sky): 3 3/4″ x 3/4″, 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″, 2″ x 6″ (envelope)
Starry Sky: 3″ x 3″ Cut with Stitched Greenery Die
Basic White: 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″, 4″ x 4″ (inside card)
Shimmery White: 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ stamp owl in Memento Ink and color with Stampin’ Blends, Scrap to stamp and fussy cut sentiment
Early Espresso: 1 1/2″ x 5″, stamp branch in Early Espresso Ink and die cut
Starry Sky Metallic Woven Ribbon: 16″

I masked and stamped the sentiments in Starry Sky Ink. I colored the owl using Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, So Saffron, and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I popped the layers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The Dragonfly Garden stamp set has been one of my favorites since it first came out and I thought the sentiment was perfect for these calendars. Stampin’ Up! hits it out of the park when it comes to coordinating products! This project was quick & easy to mass produce using the In Color Designer Series Paper Assortment as well as the In Color Stampin’ Blends to tie it all together.
