Welcome to my Mystery Monday Stampin’! I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise!

CLUE #1 -Gather your supplies! *You will be making a portrait style fun fold card.

  • Cardstock  – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 , 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 *Can be same or different
  • Designer Series Paper– 4 @ 2 x 5 3/8(H), 2 5/8 x 4 1/8 (H), extra for envelope (*optional)
  • Basic White Cardstock – 2 5/8 x 4 1/8(H), plus extra to stamp focal image
  • Envelope
  • Stamps
  • Ink
  • Adhesive
  • Ribbon/Embellishments of choice (optional)
  • Tools – Trimmer/Score Board, Bone Folder
  • *Optional – coloring tools, die cut/punch, Cut & Emboss Machine

CLUE #2
Score the 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 cardstock @ 2 1/8, 4 1/4, 6 3/8. Fold & burnish the score lines (mountain, valley, mountain fold).

CLUE #3
Add the four 2 x 5 3/8 DSP strips to each of the panels.

CLUE #4
Score the 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 cardstock @ 2 3/4, creating two even sections. Fold and burnish the score line in a mountain fold.

CLUE #5
Adhere the 2 5/8 x 4 1/8 DSP to the left section. Create a focal image and adhere to the left section.

CLUE #6
The 2 5/8 x 4 1/8 White cardstock is used for your sentiment or written message. *Stamp prior to adhering to the right section.

CLUE #7
Attach front panels to the card: With the larger card base folded on itself (accordion style), add the front section. *I used my grid paper to make certain the finished card was no wider than 4 1/4″, so it would fit in the standard A2 envelope. Center along the top and bottom and adhere one side down, then the other side.

CLUE #8
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments, etc.? Add that now.

CLUE #9
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.

Diagonal Fun Fold Card with Sweet Bugs

I love how easy this diagonal fun fold card is to create! Jackie Bolhius shared an easy method that does not involve measuring that she learned from Shannon West! I love learning new tips and techniques that make creating simple!

This style card really showcases the designer series paper! I used the Cute as A Bug DSP.

Your crafts will be buzzing with charm thanks to the Cute as a Bug 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper! With lovely ladybugs, fluttering friends, and picnic-perfect prints, this collection is sure to bug you in the best way. Whether you’re scrapbooking sunny memories or creating adorable handmade cards, these playful patterns will add a delightful, nature-loving touch.

I cut the ladybug on the front of my card from the DSP using the coordinating Sweet Bugs Dies. The inside of the card features one of my favorite sentiments from Framed All Around.

I love creating cards that can be sent anytime…no special occasion needed!
I feel like I hit the jackpot when it comes to friends!!! And honestly, I do not know how I’d get through the tough times without them!!! Many of my friends enjoy reading books as much as I do and we often share and discuss our favorites.

This card stands for a pretty display showcasing the DSP on the backside too!
