The New 2026-2028 In Colors are fabulous!!!! You need to see them up close and personal to really appreciate the soft hues as I don’t think the catalog does them justice!!! I have been enjoying creating with these new colors. Here’s (the first) set of cards I made.

One of my favorite parts of creating my Birthday Surprise Party Kit last month was coordinating the “party favors”. This kit was all about my favorite things and I had so much fun putting together little surprises that greet you before the crafting even begins.

I tried to keep costs down as the proceeds from these kits went to Pet Connect Rescue (petconnectrescue.org).
I used recycled Paper Pumpkin boxes and tissue paper, some retired DSP, etc.
The kit included 4 cards (3 fun folds and 1 technique card) as well as some fun birthday treats and gifts.

Fun fact: This cake reminded me of my favorite homemade four layer cake my mom used to make. It had different fillings between each chocolate layer: pistachio, peppermint, and maple. Then she covered the whole cake with chocolate whip cream. It was a treat for the eyes and taste buds!!!

I created a simple “party favor” to go with this card.
This simple nail file holder can be made in many different sizes. (I’ve also made them for pens, pencils, etc.) This is a favorite “tool” in my craft room. If your trimmer blade leaves rough edges on your cardstock (a sign you need to replace it), you can use the nail file to “sand” the sides and get rid of the rough edges. 🙂

This last card is probably my favorite one in the kit.

Fun Fact: I LOVE the beach!!!!! It’s my Happy Place! Sunshine, sand between my toes, the sound of the waves crashing, salty air, and a good book! AAHHH!

You just need your own stamps, ink, adhesive, trimmer, and scoring tool. I include all die cut and punched images as well as envelopes and everything else you need to create beautiful cards.
