CASE the Catty with Hearts & Hugs

This catalog is filled with so many ideas to help spark your creativity! Sometimes you need a card and you don’t know what to make so it’s nice to just pick something you like and CASE it. CASE simply means to Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit. I needed to make a card for a friend and when I saw this bright & cheery card (on page 61) in the new Annual Catalog I decided to CASE it.

I used a different embossing folder as I didn’t have the new one they used. I liked the technique they used…adding some background color and contrast using a blending brush. That was fun and easy but, my favorite thing about this card is the new dies from the Hearts & Hugs Bundle.


I really love the curved hearts, banner, and flower dies in this set; however, when I saw that stamp with the cute little mouse hugging the heart, I knew I needed the whole bundle! I don’t always buy the bundles…sometimes I may get just the stamp set or just the dies. (Of course I do like the 10% savings you get when you buy the bundle!) I know I will use those adorable animals hugging on other cards!

Have seen a project or two in the new catalog and wondered “How’d they do that?” or “What stamp did they use there?”
