WCMD Card Swap…Christmas Cards Day 1

I received a lot of Christmas cards in the card swap.  Get ready for some holiday inspiration!

Card Created by Billie Moan

How gorgeous is this card?! Reminds me of my younger days…skiing in New Hampshire and going on a sleigh ride at night through the woods. This card has so much texture with the heat embossed trees and glistening snow.  I love the black and white on smoky slate with just a pop of color from the wreath.

Card Created by Gigi Cohen

How cute is this doggie?!  Love the pompoms on the hat and and sparkle added to each ornament.

No name enclosed with this card

WOW! This card has heat embossing, silver glimmer paper, wink of Stella, and sequins. It just sparkles with Joy!

Card Created by Sandy Mitchell

I love the combination of stamps Sandy used and how she fussy cut the angel.  This card is a piece of art…an angel watching over from above!

Card Created by Carol, Pam’s Mom

I love this clean and simple card and especially how Carol signed it, “Pam’s Mom”.  Brian King and Pam Morris outdid themselves hosting World Card Making Day! They both had their “proud” moms there.  It was just wonderful!

I hope you have enjoyed today’s inspiration!  Please leave a comment for these talented people.  Check back tomorrow for another showcase of cards.

Have a wonderful day!

3D Swaps from World Card Making Day

I am late posting today because I am just getting back from Atlanta and the most amazing weekend!  My mind is on inspiration overload!  I wish I could take a week off and just create!  My sister asked me what was my favorite thing from the Stampin’ Up! weekend events and I didn’t even have to think about my answer…it was the people!  I was surrounded by so many wonderful and talented people and we had a blast! Brian King and Pam Morris hosted World Card Making Day on Friday and I met so many wonderful and creative people and made many new friends! One of the first things we did on Friday was a 3D Swap.  Everyone made a little gift and we walked around and mingled until we were told to stop and swap with the person closest to you.  Here’s my 3D swap.

I used a 12 x 12 piece of Candy Cane Lane DSP to make this treat holder. You can click HERE to see my previous post with the directions.  I figured the recipient could sit this on their table and have something sweet to enjoy all weekend.

I received this cute handmade box filled with chocolates.  YUM!

Here’s a few pictures from World Card Making Day and some of the other 3D swaps.

I was so excited to meet the infamous WCMD hosts, Pam Morris and Brian King !
My wonderful friend and upline, Susan Itell.
Look at this awesome candy train made by Joanna!
Karen made an adorable box and gift tags!
What a cool idea for a countdown to Christmas!
Great way to dress up a tissue box!  Change the DSP for different holidays.
Gorgeous ornament!
Quick & easy colorful ornament using strips of DSP.
I love this curvy keepsake ornament!
Beautiful homemade decor!

Here are some more great ideas showing how you can frame your creations for Holiday decor and/or gifts.

Now you can see why I am on inspiration overload! And this was just one of the events! Friday night I went to dinner with some of the members of our team.  These are “my people”!

Joanna Latham, me, Rosanne Mulhern, Susan Itell, Bridget Trefethen, Karen Hallam

I will be sharing more inspiration and photos from all the events later this week so be sure to check back.
