Welcome to Tic Tac Toe Thursday! I have a fun card for you today using the gorgeous new Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper.

I created Tic Tac Toe going down the right side with Free, Flowers, Ribbon.

The Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper is one of the many new Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusives released last week. I LOVE these bright colors and beautiful designs!

I used two of the flower patterns on the front of this card. On the back of the card I stamped the flowers from the Simply Zinnia stamp set and colored them with Stampin’ Blends.

Lovely Lavender Hostess Gifts

I’ve been in New York this week visiting my daughter. I used the January 2024 Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin kit to make a hostess gift set for her.

The tag from the kit was perfect to go with the lavender plant I picked up at Target. I also used the die cuts from the kit on the easel calendar card. Here’s a look at the intended cards/projects designed for this January 2024 Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin Kit.

You can Click HERE to watch Stampin’ Up!’s how-to video to help you assemble the kit as intended. This kit coordinates with the Perennial Lavender Suite in the Spring Mini Catalog. I used the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper and the Purple Shimmer Gems from the suite on the calendar card I made. The leaves and lavender die cuts are from the Paper Pumpkin kit.

Here are the details to create the calendar easel card.

Measurements:

Card base (Highland Heather): 4 1/4 x 11, scored @ 2 3/4 & 5 1/2
Cardstock Layer (Gorgeous Grape): Cut 2 @ 5 1/4 x 4
DSP (Perennial Lavender): Cut 2 @ 5 1/8 x 3 7/8
Cardstock Layer (Highland Heather): 2 1/2 x 3 1/4 (for calendar), 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 (for Sticky Note)
Basic White: scrap to stamp sentiment (from So Sincere) and die cut with Thoughtful Expressions Die

Directions:

Fold & burnish card base.
Adhere DSP to Gorgeous Grape cardstock. Adhere one layer inside card base.
Adhere calendar to cardstock layer. Place die cuts from Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin kit on cardstock layer and adhere with a few Mini Glue Dots. Adhere calendar to DSP layer covering the bottom of the die cuts. Stamp sentiment and cut with Thoughtful Expressions Die. Adhere beside die cuts with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere this layer to front of card only applying adhesive on the bottom section on the card so it adheres below the score line.
Adhere sticky note pad to cardstock layer and adhere to card base. It is the stopper for the easel.
Embellish with Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.

Stampin' Up! Sunny Days and Thoughtful Expressions stack, slice, and shuffle card ideas-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I created these cards using a fun technique called Stack, Slice, & Shuffle. It’s so simple…You stack 3 pieces of DSP, slice together, then shuffle to create 3 cards! Here are the details.

Measurements:

Card base: Cut 3 @ 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Cardstock Layer (Basic Black): Cut 3 @ 5 1/8 x 3 7/8
DSP (Sunny Days): *cut 3 different but coordinating pieces- 5 x 3 3/4
Basic White (inside): cut 3 @ 5 1/4 x 4, scraps to stamp and cut sentiment

Directions:

Fold & burnish card bases.
Stack together the 3 pieces of designer series paper and cut all 3 at the same time. There’s so many different ways you can “Slice” your paper. I made the first cut ~ 1″ from the upper left edge down to ~ 1″ above the lower right corner. *I did not measure! My second cut was from the middle point to the corner.
Shuffle the DSP- Mix up the 3 sets of DSP so you have one pattern in each stack (like a puzzle).
Adhere the DSP to cardstock layer. Adhere layered DSP to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp sentiments and cut with Thoughtful Expressions Dies.
Attach ribbon to center of card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add Die cut sentiment on top. Add Adhesive-Backed Heart embellishment.
Adhere White cardstock layer inside card for sentiment or handwritten message.
