Welcome back for another Mystery Monday Stampin’! I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! This week’s mystery card is a classic fun fold that is actually two fun folds rolled into one! It’s really cool & simple (with a twist)!
One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise!
Yesterday I shared your first clue. If you missed that post (with the list of supplies), Click HERE for Clue #1
Now that you have your cardstock, designer series paper, and other supplies, it’s time to create! Simply follow the clues step by step to create a beautiful card. Feel free to add your own twist…there is no right or wrong way to do Mystery Monday Stampin’! Here are the rest of the clues:
*This week’s card will be a vertical/portrait style card.
CLUE #2
Score 11” x 4 1/4 ” cardstock along the long side @ 2 3/4 and 5 1/2. Fold and burnish as though you are making a Z Fold card to create your card base. (Fold in half at 5 1/2 then fold the 2 3/4 score line back.)
CLUE #3
You are making a portrait style card so the fold and folded back piece are at the top. Adhere the 4 x 2 1/2 DSP on the front of the card at the top (to the piece that you folded back).
CLUE #4
Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 DSP on the inside of the card.
CLUE #5
Decorate the 2 3/4 x 4 1/4 white/neutral cardstock to create a focal piece. Stamp, emboss, add die cut layer, etc. Then layer focal piece on 3 x 4 1/2 cardstock. *You can certainly alter the size of these pieces (up to 3 1/2 x 4 3/4) if you want your focal layer a little larger.
CLUE #6
Center the focal layer on the card base. Adhere only the top half of the layered panel to the base to allow the card to flip up and create an easel.
CLUE #7
Stamp/punch/cut a sentiment or image to create a “stopper” for the easel. Adhere stopper to the card base with Stampin Dimensionals.
CLUE #8
You can add a layer inside the card or to the back of the card to add a greeting and/or sign the card.
CLUE #9
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments? A sentiment? Add that now.
CLUE #10
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.
I can’t wait to see what you create! Take a photo of your card and send as an attachment to my email (j.stark@goeaston.net). Feel free to reach out if you need help or have questions.
Check back tomorrow to see my mystery cards revealed.
Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!
