Fun Fold Easel Cards with Special Delivery Paper Pumpkin Kit

Did you play along with my Mystery Monday Stampin’? If you followed the clues you would have created a Fun Fold Easel Card similar to these.

These cards are similar to the Reverse Easel Cards I created back in October. Those cards were portrait style whereas these are landscape. Also, these stand upright instead of on an angle. Just another look for a simple and classic fun fold!

Both of my cards today were created using the January 2026 Paper Pumpkin Special Delivery kit. I like to change things up instead of making all the cards the same. It’s fun to create some alternative ideas using the contents of the kits. I love these charming postage stamp designs! Let’s take a closer look at each of today’s cards.

Everything I used on this card is from the kit except the card base. I used a piece of 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Thick Basic White for my base and scored it @ 1 1/4 & 4 1/4. I cut one of the card bases in the kit to go along with the DSP measurements from the clues to add the layers. I popped the flower dies up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the stamped image. I love the specks of gold in the flower centers!

This card was so quick & easy to change from a standard card to a beautiful fun fold that displays. I added a sentiment on the inside above the score line so it is hidden when the card is displayed.

One of the things I absolutely love about the Paper Pumpkin kits is the different colored envelopes that coordinate with the cards each month. I especially love this month’s envelopes!

Here’s a look at my second card.

I started with a Thick Basic White card base then cut apart one of the envelopes to create the “DSP” layers on my card. The focal layer follows the measurements in the clues. I used the Perennial Postage Dies to cut the layer on the front as well as the sentiment layer. The pretty blue flower reminds me of a floral stamp. I used the stamp set from the kit for the image on the front as well as the popped up sentiment holding up the easel.

I punched the “Love” image using a 1″ circle punch and simply layered it over the other image.

My inside sentiment is from Bee My Valentine.

Orchid Oasis is one of the 2022-2024 In Colors. It’s a pretty blue purple color and just happens to be one of my daughter’s favorite colors.

Bring the beauty of lavender to all your paper crafts with Perennial Lavender 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. The hand-painted designs were inspired by fields of wild lavender and the wildflowers that grow right alongside it. I rarely make just one card. I like to play around and try different variations and see which version I like better. I started out simple but then kept adding more elements. (That seems to be an ongoing issue with me. LOL) Here’s a closer look at each card.

I love the texture the ribbon adds!

To make the layer for the Hexagon just cut in 1/2 and adhere to top and bottom of sentiment.

Use leftover DSP on the inside of your card!

I love using the DSP to make envelopes to coordinate!

I used the same color combo for both cards. I really like this color combination! You could highlight different colors in the paper. If I was using any of the other DSP patterns I would probably go with the Shaded Spruce instead of Lost Lagoon but I thought it was too bold with the Orchid Oasis. (It looks great with Gorgeous Grape.) What do you think of this color combo?

Here are the details for today’s cards:
Measurements:

Card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Cardstock Layer: 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 when cut with Postage Die
DSP (Perennial lavender): 3 x 4 1/4
Cardstock Strip: 1 1/4 x 4 1/4
DSP or ribbon: 1 x 4 1/4 (need extra for ribbon to wrap around and adhere on back)
Sentiment layer (Crumb Cake): 2″ circle or Hexagon Punch
Scraps (Orchid Oasis/Lost lagoon): to punch with Bough Punch
Linen Thread: to tie double bow to adhere to sentiment layer
DSP: 2 1/4 x 6 (envelope)
Cardstock layer (inside): 3 3/4 x 5
DSP layer (inside): 3/4 x 3 3/4

Directions:

Fold & burnish card base.
Cut cardstock layer with Perennial Postage Dies
Adhere DSP to cardstock layer. Adhere to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Wrap ribbon or adhere DSP to cardstock strip. Adhere to card base with Dimensionals just on the ends.
Stamp sentiment and punch out. Adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Punch flowers and leaves with Bough Punch and adhere to card with Mini Glue Dots.
Tie a double bow with Linen Thread and adhere with Mini Glue Dot.
Adhere DSP to envelope flap and trim to fit.
