Welcome to Day 3 of my 12 Days of Christmas! I am so excited to bring you 12 days of fun Christmas projects that will hopefully inspire you! Today I am sharing 2 projects with you- a fun fold card and an ornament.

Both projects start with the gorgeous Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I love the peek through with this fun fold card. The florals on the front of the card is cut from the DSP using the Christmas Greenery Dies and layered on labels cut from the Fright Night Dies.

The inside of the card has an embossed layer and sentiment from Traditional Labels stamp set.

If you ordered my 12 Days of Christmas Kit to Go you received everything you need to craft along with me. Here’s a look at what was included in the kit.

This year I offered an optional 3D add-on to my 12 Days of Christmas Craft Along. I love to make little gifts to coordinate with cards. You could create this ornament for yourself, give it as a gift, or use it as a tag. The ornament is cut from the Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper using the Ornamental Christmas Dies from the Modern Christmas Suite. The large gold hoops and Gold & White Baker’s twine is also from this suite.

It’s Thursday which means it’s time for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge! Here’s this week’s inspiration board.

This is a Z fold card with a left side flap that opens up too. The Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper and the Encircled with Love Stamp Set were perfect for the foliage and flowers. Here’s how this card looks when you open it up.

I am in love with the Peaceful Greenery 3D embossing folder from the upcoming holiday mini catalog. Demonstrators who attended Creativity Now were able to preorder this and other products from the Peaceful Garden Suite (available in September).

Here are the details the create this fun fold card:

Measurements:
Card base (Darling Duckling): 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 score @ 2 1/8 and 4 1/4
Cardstock (Darling Duckling): 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 score along the 5 1/2 side @ 3 1/2, 3/4 x 3 1/2
Cardstock (Old Olive): 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 , 2″ circle
Cardstock (Basic White): 4 x 5 1/4 (inside). scrap to stamp & punch 1 7/8 circle
Designer Series Paper: 1 7/8 x 5 1/4, 3 x 4

Directions:

Fold and burnish card base to create a z fold card. *Fold the inner score line in then back on itself.
Fold the 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 cardstock & adhere the 2″ scored section to the inside of the card base, flush along the very right edge. *The basic white inside layer will cover the 2″ piece.
Emboss, stamp, and adhere the inside piece.
Adhere DSP strip to front of card base and adhere 3 x 4 piece to cardstock layer then to card flap. Adhere cardstock strip.
Stamp sentiment on white then punch with 1 7/8″ circle punch and adhere to 2″ Old Olive circle layer. Adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with adhesive dots and linen thread bow.

The mystery with both of these cards is the hidden gate fold surprise inside. Let’s take a look at each of today’s cards.

This card features products from the Floral Impressions Suite Collection. I used the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder to emboss the focal piece on the front, the sentiment layer on the inside, and the envelope. I love how embossing adds texture and interest to a card (and envelope)! Look at the surprise when you open this card.

Ta Da!

I love this hidden surprise! And it’s so simple to create! The gate fold design on the inside showcases both sides of the designer series paper and adds a burst of color. The only difficulty making this card was deciding which pattern to use!

My second card features a new suite (Peaceful Garden) which will be available in September. Demonstrators attending the Creativity Now event this weekend were able to order it early. I couldn’t wait to til the weekend to play with these new items!

I love the new shape die I used for the sentiment layer. There is another die in the bundle that is a bit smaller that you can use for layering. I love the details on the dove and there’s another one I used on the inside.

I love this designer series paper and embossing folder! Once again, I used the embossing folder on the inside as well as the envelope.

I really like this color combination of Secret Sea, Cloud Cover, and Misty Moonlight!!! Here’s a close up of the Misty Moonlight Silver Edged Ribbon. (I’m afraid my photography does not do it justice! It’s really gorgeous!)
