I look forward to Thursdays! I love seeing how others interpret the Tic Tac Toe Challenge board each week. Here’s this week’s challenge board.
I was intrigued by the sketch element this week and decided to use that in my design. When I first started stamping I would draw sketches of cards I saw and liked. (Who knew I could just google card sketches and have tons of samples to choose from?! Obviously not me at the time.) This is one of my favorites.
To me, this is a classic, quick & easy, go to sketch. You can punch the circles or cut them with dies. You can cut patterned paper or stamp images and sentiments…so many possibilities! Here’s my card.
I chose the far right row going down: chevron, sketch, acorn. I used the 2 1/4″ Circle Punch to cut the chevron and acorn designs from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper pack. The sentiment is from the Painted Harvest stamp set and stamped in Early Espresso ink. I used the new Stampin Blends to color the acorn and leaves from COunt My Blessings stamp set. I love coloring with the Blends! They are so easy to work with! I used Crumb Cake, Old Olive, and Bronze to color then fussy cut it out and attached to my card with Stampin Dimensionals. *Quick Tip: Put a piece of scrap paper under your project when you are coloring with the Stampin’ Blends. (I put a post it note inside my envelope to prevent my ink from bleeding through while I was coloring.) Here’s my envelope to match.
You can purchase the products used to make today’s project from my online store. (*See product list below.)
Have a wonderful day!

Happy Halloween! It’s dress up day at school and every year I make my own costume (usually something to go with a story my students like). This year I changed it up a little as my 4 year old students have been having all kinds of fun with dominoes… counting, matching, and practicing some beginning addition skills. I thought I’d surprise them with my costume and some fun treats.
My costume was super easy to pull together with the help of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets. They work great for adhering dies and also stick to fun foam cut with the Circle Framelits. I adhered the adhesive sheet to the foam then ran it through the Big Shot to cut out my circles. Then it was just peel & stick! Great for a quick & easy last minute costume! The candy treats were just as easy (especially when you get your students to punch the circles with a hole punch during Center Time the day before….great activity for fine motor skill development!!!) I cut Basic Black cardstock and wrapped it around mini Hershey candy bars and adhered with Fast Fuse on the back. Then I added the circles with Glue Dots for some quick & easy treats that tie in a little math skills too! These candy treats are great for older kids too as you could have them practice their multiplication skills. Here’s a fun & educational book for kids. It’s available at Amazon and would be a great gift idea for Christmas along with the game. We played Dominoes with our kids every night after dinner for years! Fun family time!
