Welcome to my Sunday Showcase where I share the fun fold cards from my stamping friends. These cards were made by following my Mystery Monday Stampin‘ clues. This hybrid fun fold card is so quick & easy to create! It looks so different every time just by changing the designer series paper and/or center focal point.

I would love to have you join me for this week’s Mystery Monday Stampin’! It’s really fun and easy. The best part is you USE WHAT YOU HAVE to create a handmade card! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned stamper, this is a creative way to kick off your week with stamping fun. You do not need a specific stamp set or paper. You already have what you love, so use it! You will find the first clue (the supplies and measurements) for this week’s challenge below.

CLUE #1 -Gather your supplies to be ready to play Mystery Monday Stampin’

  • Cardstock- 4 1/4 x 10
  • Coordinating Cardstock- 4 3/16 x 5 1/2, 4 x 4
  • Designer Series Paper (*coordinating patterns)- 1 1/8 x 4(H), 1 1/4 x 4 (L),
    3 3/4 x 3 3/4 (or Basic White), extra for envelope (optional)
  • Basic White – 2 1/2 x 4
  • Pieces for layered embellishment
  • Envelope
  • Ink
  • Stamps
  • Adhesive
  • Embellishments- ribbon, adhesive dots or gems/sequins (*optional)
  • Tools – Trimmer/Score Board, Bone Folder
  • *Optional – coloring tools, embossing folder, die cut/punch, Cut & Emboss Machine

I love that this fun fold can be vertical or horizontal. I got the idea/measurements from Kathi Ondus. She created a vertical “stretch” card; however, I have seen several different versions on Pinterest. This is really a quick & easy fun fold. I created both versions to share with you today. Let’s take a closer look at each of these cards.

I created this card using the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper and Ornamental Christmas Stamp Set.

I was thrilled when the Nests of Winter DSP carried over from last year! With adorable hand-sketched Christmas birds perched on winter trees and detailed nature elements, you’ll find ways to use these designs for card making, paper crafting, and more.

I fussy cut the birds and greenery from the DSP for the front and inside of my card. It’s so cool how this fun fold card opens. Definitely unexpected!

I love both versions of these cards. I think this is a cool and unexpected fun fold. I like how the vertical card stretches open; however, I do prefer the horizontal version just because it stand to display. I love to display my cards and hope those that I send them to do as well!

Happy July 25th! Do you hear what I hear? Jingle, jingle! Christmas is just 5 months away! I try to avoid last minute stress so I start preparing for the holidays early. The whole “making a list, checking it twice”, creating homemade cards & gifts, kind of things! That way when December comes I can relax and really enjoy and appreciate the blessings of the season! The new Holiday Mini Catalog will be coming out in September. However, as a demonstrator, I need to order the catalogs a couple months ahead of time to allow for processing and mailing of the catalogs. I need to know…

I will be closing my mailings next week. Email me (j.stark@goeaston.net) and let me know if you would like me to have a catalog sent to you. Then please double check your account! Since we have a brand new system (and also a brand new mailing system for demonstrators), many accounts need updated shipping and mailing addresses.
Please check both boxes for Shipping and Mailing .
Not everyone has two different addresses for mailing & shipping BUT some have a P.O Box for mailing and SU! doesn’t ship to P.O Box addresses.This needs to be updated and both boxes need to be checked.
