Retiring Favorites…The Large Number Framelits

I love the Large Number Framelits and matching stamp set. They are great for personalizing any event – birthday, anniversary, new school year, graduation, etc. I used these dies for scrapbooking too!

Here are some projects I shared using these dies.  Click on the image to see the original post with directions.

The matching stamp set, Number of Years is one of my favorites and is also retiring.  These dies coordinated with the Milestone Moments stamp set I used above which is retiring as well. It is not being replaced with other number dies in the new catalog so this is a set I would grab while you can.  You will be amazed at how many times you use it for different projects. This is only a sampling of the projects I’ve made using it.  It makes a quick & easy graduation card with the year in school colors!  These will be missed!!!

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Andrew!

I can not believe I am the mother of a 30 year old son! I can still remember the day he was born.  I was not prepared for the overwhelming love I felt the moment I held him. He recently moved to my home state of Massachusetts for his job.  I am so proud of him and happy that he is embracing this new adventure. We traveled to visit him (and my family) for Easter and celebrated his milestone birthday.  Here’s the card I made.

Every year I  give him a package of E.L. Fudge cookies for his birthday. I craved them when I was pregnant. Do you know how many cookies come in a package?  The fact that I know this could account for the 50 pounds I gained during my pregnancy.  I joked that he was going to be born looking like the Keebler Elf.  The colors of this card reminded me of those cookies…chocolate and vanilla.  Yum!

My card base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  The Designer Series Paper is from Urban Underground Specialty DSP and measures 2 1/4 x 3 3/4.  I added a layer of Basic Black 1/8″ larger.  The sentiment is from Milestone Moments and stamped in Delightful Dijon and Basic Black on a piece of 2 x 3 3/8 Very Vanilla cardstock.  The Basic Black layer is 2 1/8 x 3 1/2.  I added some linen thread and adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added three White Perfect Accents which I colored with a Black Sharpie marker.

M is for Milestone Moments

Welcome to my alphabet series showcasing some of the new products in the 2017 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs. Today I am showcasing the Milestone Moments Stamp Set found on page 27 in the Occasions catalog. This year there are several milestone birthdays for some of my friends and family.  I made this card for my “older” sister who is turning 60 soon.

I combined the wording from Memorable Moments with the Large Numbers Framelits.  I like the way the banner “wraps” the numbers and stands out…just what I wanted.  My sister and I celebrated many birthdays together growing up as our birthdays are just 2 days apart.  We live over 400 miles apart now but still talk on the phone everyday…sometimes several times a day! 🙂 Here’s a photo of us as kids and my favorite photo of us on her wedding day.

This card was fun and easy to make! I chose this color combination because they’re her colors.  I used Night of Navy cardstock for my card base. The Whisper White layer measures just 1/8″ smaller, 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  I embossed this layer with the Confetti Embossing Folder and sponged it with Night of Navy, Old Olive, and Daffodil Delight. I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and cut the banner and numbers out using the Large Numbers Framelits. I attached the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the embossed and sponged envelope to match!

The Milestone Moments Stamp Set can be used for birthdays, anniversary, retirement, or new baby. I really like the different fonts!
