Today’s cards showcase the Stampin’ Up! All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper. These patterned papers evoke the coziness of autumn.

The All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper brings in the best elements of fall. The double-sided paper features detailed photographs of crisp golden leaves, weathered antique books, bright orange pumpkins, and organic earthy textures. The alternate sides show exquisite patterns interwoven with distressed copper foil.

I embossed the front panel with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and added leaves die cut with the Autumn Leaves Dies. The sentiment is from the Autumn Leaves stamp set.

Here are the details to create this fun fold card:

Measurements:

Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
DSP (All About Autumn): Need 2 cut @ 1 1/2″ x 4″, scraps to die cut leaves
Cardstock Layer: 2 3/8″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4 (emboss the front panel)
Very Vanilla: 2 1/8 x 4 (inside), 1/2″ strip for sentiment

I used 7 of the 9 elements from the challenge board which created Tic Tac Toe 3 different ways: Down the middle with birthday, die cuts, stamping (inside); down the right side with square card, masculine, leaves; and across the middle with layers, die cuts, masculine.

Measurements:

Card Base (Pretty Peacock): 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
DSP (Oxidized Copper): 3 5/8″ square
Cardstock Layer (Very Vanilla): 3 1/2″ square (embossed)
Scrap (Pretty Peacock): die cut vein for leaf and sentiment
Scrap (Vellum): die cut outline layer for sentiment
Inside Layers (Very Vanilla): 3 1/2″ square, 3 3/4″ square

Cottage Wreaths Dutch Door Fun Fold for Tic Tac Toe Challenge #217

It’s Tic Tac Toe Thursday and that means it’s time for another challenge! This week’s board was designed by Rosanne and it has fun elements!

I created Tic Tac Toe going down the left side and across the middle. Anytime there’s a choice to create a fun fold I’m in! The dutch door fun fold is one I haven’t done in a long time. Here’s my card.

I had originally intended to use the Glorious Gingham 6×6 Designer Series Paper for this card; however, the Inked Botanicals DSP was on my desk so I went with that. The card just evolved from there. I used some gingham ribbon to add the gingham element and it worked out great. You won’t find the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder in the catalog but it is still available to purchase. It is one of the Online Exclusives. (*Make sure you check out all the online exclusives…. New items were added this month!) Here’s a closer look at the embossing.

To make this fun fold start with a piece of 4 1/4 x 11 cardstock and score it at 5 1/2. Don’t fold along the score line just yet as you will want to cut first. Lay your paper in the paper trimmer at the halfway mark, 2 1/8″. Cut from the end in to the score line then rotate the paper and cut up to the cut line. You are removing the top portion of your card front.

I stamped the wreath on Very Vanilla cardstock with Lost Lagoon and cut it out with the coordinating dies. I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut the largest square from Very Vanilla and layered it with lost lagoon. Adhere to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals just along the bottom half. Here’s a look at the inside of this card.

The Very Vanilla cardstock and Designer Series Paper measure 2 x 5 1/4. The sentiment is stamped in Calypso Coral. The ends are punched using Banners Pick A Punch and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals in the center. There’s plenty of room to add a handwritten message and sign below.
