Welcome to the last card in my ABC Card Series! Throughout this series I’ve been sharing a variety of cards for every occasion from anniversary to zoo. The zoo animals in the Animal Outing Stamp Set are great for all kinds of cards for new baby, thank you, kids birthday, family, or friends. Check out this simple fun fold card idea!
You could easily substitute the different animals or sentiments in the stamp set. Check out the cute zoo animals included in the set!
Even though I didn’t use the dies there are coordinating Animal Friends Dies available for added fun!
Here’s the details if you would like to make this fun fold card.
- Old Olive cardstock – 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2. Line up the score line at 1 3/4 and cut off the bottom of the card front. From the piece you just cut, cut apiece measuring 1 3/4. You will have a leftover piece that is 2 x 4 1/4. Cut that piece so it measures 2 x 3 1/2. This piece will be the “bridge” to connect the top and bottom of the card.
- Dinoroar DSP – Cut 2 pieces 4 x 1 1/2 *If you want a coordinating envelope you will also need a piece that measures 2 x 6.
- Whisper White Cardstock – 4 x 5 1/4 (inside piece), 1 3/4 x 3 1/4 to stamp animal.
Adhere the DSP to the old olive card base and bottom piece. Stamp the images in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and color with Stampin’ Blends. I used Old Olive, Mango Melody, and Soft Suede. Adhere the stamped image to the Old Olive layer and attach to the card using Tear & Tape at the top and bottom of the layered piece.
This fun card really came together fast! I hope you will give it a try.
