Hershey’s Little Treats Jar

I love to make little treat holders! One of my favorite things to do during this pandemic has been to leave little gifts and treats in my friends (and neighbors) mailboxes. I used the Jar Punch to create these cute little treats that hold 3 Hershey’s Miniatures.

Stampin' Up! Little Treats with Harvest Hellos and the Jar Punch - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I used the pumpkin pie woodgrain pattern from the Regals 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to stamp the jack-o-lantern face from Harvest Hellos and punch it out with the Jar Punch. I punched 2 more jars from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and adhered the DSP piece to one. I stamped the jar lid from Jar of Flowers on a strip of Smoky Slate and punched them out with the Jar Punch. I trimmed the lids and adhered to the jars. On the second jar I stamped the sentiment and spider from the Little Treats stamp set to go on the back of the treat holder.

To make the treat holder start with a 4 1/4 x 2 3/4 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock. On the 4 3/4 side, score at 1″, 2″, 3″, and 4″. On the 2 3/4 side, score at 1 3/4. Fold along the score lines and cut along the score lines as shown below.

Add Tear & Tape or Multipurpose Liquid Glue along the skinny end and fold over to create the box. Fold in the bottom flaps and adhere with Liquid Glue. Adhere the punched jars to the front and back of the box. Tie a piece of twine around the jar lid on the front. Add a rhinestone jewel to the spider on the back. Fill with 3 Hershey Miniatures.

I haven’t been in a grocery store, restaurant, or shop since the middle of March! I have to say I miss browsing for cute little gifts and treats! We order everything online and have it delivered or curbside pick up. I am going to try to order the seasonal Hershey Miniatures to go in my jar holders. The grocery store substituted these. They all taste the same but I like the color coordination with the festive seasonal wrappers. 🙂

Mini Post It Note Easel Holder

I’m back! I’m happy to be stamping and creating again! I’ve been helping my daughter move and get settled in to her new apartment. It was a challenge to pack all her stuff and both her cats and travel over 400 miles (with all the restrictions and safety precautions) but we did it! Stamping has been my therapy this week as I left a big part of my heart in Massachusetts!

Many teachers and students (my daughter included) are heading back to school this week.  It will certainly be a different learning experience for everyone! I have a quick & easy gift idea for teachers, students, coworkers, or friends.

Stampin' Up! Apple Builder Punch and Plaid Tidings Mini Post It Note Holder idea for back to school - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I would be lost without sticky notes! I use them all the time! Combine them with the new Plaid Tidings Patterned Paper and the Apple Builder Punch and you have a little gift that’s sure to brighten someone’s day! Check out all the different patterns in the Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Pack.

I am having so much fun creating with these gorgeous plaids! I cut my paper in 2 inch strips so I could punch 6 apples from 1 (6 x 6) sheet. (I have many teacher friends I wanted to make these for!) I received one of these mini post it note holders from my friend, Susan Itell, several years ago.

I played around with the measurements and made mine a little different. You can check out Susan’s version and photo tutorial HERE. Here’s the measurements to make mine:

Fold and burnish the first 2 score lines forward then fold the last score line back.  Add adhesive just between the score lines where the flap will fold back. The Mini Sticky Notes will act as a stopper and hold the easel in place when open. Adhere the sticky notes close to the bottom.

I punched the stem and leaf from Pretty Peacock Designer Series Paper (2019- 2021 In Color Paper Pack) and adhered to the apple with Mini Glue Dots. I adhered the apple with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I couldn’t decide if I liked the apple with a bow from Linen Thread or Gold Cord. Which do you prefer? Here’s a closeup of each.

You can stamp any sentiment on the sticky note or write a personal message! I used the Harvest Hellos Stamp Set for my sentiments. You can make a bunch of these at a time! They really are quick & easy to do! I bet you can think of someone who could use one of these! Check back and see what else I made with this paper pack!

H is for Harvest Hellos

Welcome to my ABC Holiday 2019 Series! Throughout this series I will be sharing all kinds of cards, gifts, and ideas to help make your holidays as easy as ABC! Today I have two fun projects using the Harvest Hellos stamp set and coordinating Apple Builder Punch. As you will see, the punch can make more than just apples!

Stampin Up! Harvest Hellos Stamp Set and Apple Builder Punch gift and treat ideas - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

My daughter is coming home next week for her Fall Break (I am so excited!!) This is her last year at Georgia Tech and she has been so busy! She’s taking a graduate course and working on research. I am just so proud of her! She loves and misses her cats and I found this adorable cat pillow when I was out shopping one day. I was going to send it to her but it looked so cute in her bedroom I decided to keep it for a surprise for when she comes home. I had fun using the Apple Builder Punch to make this sweet coordinating treat.

Stampin' Up Harvest Hellos Bundle makes cute Kit Kat treat boxes using the Apple Builder Punch - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

My daughter loves Kit Kats and this little treat box is the “purrfect” size.

Here’s the details to make the box to hold a mini candy treat.

Materials & Measurements

  • Highland Heather cardstock: 2 x 9 1/2, scored at 1/2, 1 1/2, 2 1/2, 3, 6. 6 1/2.
  • Basic Black cardstock : scrap to punch Apple builder Punch and 2 “ears” using Ornament Punch

Assembly

  • Fold and Burnish score lines with a bone folder. Use the die from Merry Christmas (or other die/punch you may have) to cut opening for candy.
  • Add Tear & Tape Adhesive as shown. Insert candy bar, remove adhesive, and make sure box bottom and top are flat before adhering.

Stamp the sentiment inside using the Harvest Hellos Stamp set and Memento Black Ink.

  • Wrap the ribbon around and tie and bow in front to allow the cover to slide under to close.
  • Punch a scrap piece of black cardstock with the Apple Builder Punch and trim off the top.
  • Punch 2 ears using the Ornament Punch and a 3/4″ strip of cardstock. Color with the White Watercolor Pencil and adhere with Tear & Tape on the back. *Do not remove the adhesive back.
  • Add 3 strips of Silver Metallic Thread with a Glue Dot for whiskers. Cover in the middle with a nose cut from a scrap of Blushing Bride cardstock. Use Watercolor Pencil to draw mouth. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin Up Harvest Hellos and Apple Builder Punch candy bar treat holder idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I love to make little hostess gifts and I found the best smelling scented sachet for Fall ( I believe I got it at Cracker Barrel). I have been enjoying the aromas of ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon. I should have bought more because this is going to be hard to part with! The package coordinates so well with the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper.

Stampin Up Come To Gather Designer Series Paper - visit juststampin.comm to see how to make great packaging ideas for gifts and more using the Envelope Punch Board - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I don’t usually show you projects I’ve make with products that are retired (because I know how frustrating it can be to want to make something and can’t get what you need); however, one of my favorite retired tools is in the Clearance Rack and on sale! I thought the Envelope Punch Board was the best $20 I ever spent when I bought it (about 7 years ago).  You can SAVE 40% (on Clearance)! Price: $20.00 $12.00  What a deal!!!!  It’s only available while supplies last so if you don’t already own one, BUY IT NOW! It is so easy to make all kinds of fun projects! The directions and measurements you need are right on the board so you don’t have to worry about losing them! I used the Envelope Punch Board to make this quick & easy packaging for this scented sachet. My package measured 4 1/2 x 6 1/2. I checked the measurements on the EPB and I needed a piece of 8 3/4 x 8 3/4 cardstock.  Well, that was a problem because our cardstock measures 8 1/2 x 11 (and I didn’t have a pack of the 12 x 12 for the color I needed) so I did what anyone would do…improvise.  I simply folded down the top of my package 1/2″ so now it would work with a 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of cardstock. That I could work with! I followed the directions on the EPB and punched and scored my cardstock. It’s so quick & easy! The tool you need is built right in and it even has a corner rounder built in! (Trust me, you will love this tool!!!)  I placed the package in the middle and folded it on the score lines to close it up like an envelope.  I made a belly band using a piece of 3 x 12 DSP and just wrapped it around the and secured it on the back with adhesive. I adhered a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to give it a border across the top and bottom on the front only. The best part was making the 3D pumpkin with the Harvest Hellos Stamp Set and Apple Builder Punch.  This set is available as a bundle for a 10% savings!

I stamped 3 pumpkins in Cajun Craze Ink on the same color cardstock and punched them out. I folded each in half and adhered together by just adhering one half to the next.  I stamped the stem with Soft Suede ink on the same color cardstock and punched it out then secured it to the back of the pumpkins with a glue dot. The leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow on Mossy Meadow and fussy cut out. You could use the other leaf that goes with the punch but it is definitely an apple leaf and I wanted mine to go with the pumpkin. I adhered one behind the pumpkin and one in front with glue dots. Next, I cut a Crumb Cake Circle with the Layering Circles Dies and adhered the pumpkin. I looped a piece of Crumb Cake Ribbon from the Come To Gather Ribbon Combo Pack and secured to the back of the tag with glue dots Then popped it up on the belly band with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love how it turned out! Here’s peek how it looks when you remove the belly band and  open it. You can stamp and/or write a message inside. Just add a piece of cardstock under the package.

I got together with some friends this weekend and we made pumpkins.  We used many different fabrics, socks, hats, (basically anything we could find). We grabbed sticks out of the backyard for stems and burnt our fingers with the glue gun!  It was tons of fun with lots of laughs!  Here’s some photos.
