Welcome to my 12 Days of Christmas-Day 7! I am so excited to bring you 12 days of fun Christmas projects that will hopefully inspire you to create! Today I am sharing a quick & easy gift card holder. I love the Scalloped Gift Card Boxes from Stampin’ Up!

Stampin' Up! Scalloped Gift Card Box with Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper, Golden Greenery Dies, and Unbounded Love Stamp Set-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
Create your own customized packaging using these Scalloped Gift Card Boxes. The white exterior is meant to be stamped, colored, and decked out in any way you want! The scalloped box edge adds a lovely touch, but it can also be tucked in and hidden if needed. The box includes a removeable insert. Use it to hold gift cards, or remove it to make room for treats and small gifts. They are quick and easy to assemble with no adhesives required. I chose to decorate this box with the gorgeous Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper. This could easily be given for birthday, wedding, anniversary, Valentine’s Day or Christmas! If you ordered my 12 Days of Christmas Kit to Go you received everything you need to craft along with me. Here’s a look at what was included in the kit for today’s project.

Stampin' Up! Scalloped Gift Card Box kit with Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper, Golden Greenery Dies, and Unbounded Love Stamp Set-Jeanie Stark StampinUp

To Create this Project

Scalloped Gift Card Box
DSP (Season of Green & Gold): 2 @ 4 x 7/8, 2 @ 2 3⁄4 x 7/8, 3⁄4 x 12 (bellyband), 2 3⁄4 x 4 (top), die cut greenery with Golden Greenery Die
Basic White : punch with Modern Oval Punch
Gold Trim (from Combo pack)

Directions:
1. Fold & burnish box along score lines.
2. Fold the 4 tabs in and secure by folding down side flaps. No adhesive necessary. Flaps fit secure in notch on bottom.

Fold over front flap and secure in notch.
Adhere DSP to sides and top of box.
Wrap DSP strip around sides of box and secure on top. *Make sure it can slide on and on easily.
Stamp sentiment on Punched Oval with Mossy Meadow Ink. Adhere to belly band with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere Die Cut greenery to side of sentiment with Mini Glue Dots.
Tie a bow with Gold Trim and adhere with Mini Glue Dot.
Insert gift card in holder and place inside box.

To Create this Project

Card Base (Mossy Meadow): 5 1⁄2 x 8 1⁄2 score @ 4 1⁄4
Brushed Gold Foil: 4 x 5 1/4
Very Vanilla: 1 15/16 x 3 3/16 (sentiment layer), 4 x 5 1⁄4 (inside)
Season of Green & Gold Specialty DSP: 2 @ 7/8 x 4 1/8, 2 @ 7/8 x 2 7/8, 1⁄2 x 6 (front of envelope), fussy cut bells
Graceful Greenery Vellum Specialty DSP: Die cut greenery (Golden Greenery Dies)
Very Vanilla Medium Envelope (retired)

Directions

Fold and burnish the cardstock along the score line.
Stamp Sentiment on Very Vanilla panel.
Adhere long DSP strips along the top and bottom of the Gold foil panel as shown. Adhere the sentiment panel in the center. Then add the shorter panels across the top and bottom.

Adhere Gold panel to card base.
Cut die cut greenery into 2 pieces and adhere as shown.

Fussy cut bells and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere inside layer. Stamp sentiment or add handwritten message.
Adhere DSP strip to front of envelope. Trim to fit.

Something Fancy for Tic Tac Toe Challenge #253

Happy first Thursday of the month and welcome to a new Tic Tac Toe Challenge! I needed a sympathy card this week. While these are never my favorite cards to make, I wanted it to be special. The Tic Tac Toe Challenge board provided just the inspiration I needed.

The center square caught my attention. Scoring is a simple technique that adds a subtle elegance. I created Tic Tac Toe going straight down the middle with Patterned Paper, Scoring, Circle. Here’s my card.

I love that the Golden Greenery Dies work with the stamp set and specialty designer series papers. I cut my greenery from the DSP. You can view the complete list of products used to create this card below. Here’s the details:

Stamps: Something Fancy, Quiet Reflections, So Sincere
Papers: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper, Graceful Greenery Vellum
Ink: Old Olive Stampin’ Pad
Tools & Accessories: Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Paper Trimmer, Golden Greenery Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Bough Punch, Gold Satin Edge Ribbon, Gold Glimmer Enamel Dots, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Adhesive

Measurements:

Card base (Very Vanilla): 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4
Old Olive: Cut 2 @ 3 5/8 x 4 7/8, scrap to punch 2 leaves with Bough Punch
Very Vanilla: Cut 2 @ 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 score @ 1/4 and 3/8 from edge on all four sides, scrap to stamp and die cut sentiment

Directions:

Fold and burnish card base.
Score both Very Vanilla layers according to measurements above. *You can use either the Paper Trimmer or Score Board; however, you get a deeper score with the Score Board (shown on left).
Adhere Very Vanilla layer to Old Olive layer with adhesive of your choice.
Die cut greenery from Specialty Designer Series Papers using Golden Greenery Dies. Adhere greenery and punched leaves to Very Vanilla layer with Mini Glue Dots.
Stamp sentiment in Old Olive ink and cut with Stylish Shapes Die. Add a strip of ribbon on the back of the die cut and adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere layers to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with Gold Glimmer Enamel Circle Dots.
Stamp inside sentiment on very vanilla scored layer and adhere to old olive layer. Adhere inside card.
Optional: Score envelope on all four sides same as very vanilla layers. (Unfortunately it’s hard to see it in the photo.)
