I would love to have you join me for this week’s Mystery Monday Stampin’! It’s really fun and easy. I give you step by step clues to create a fun fold card. The best part is you USE WHAT YOU HAVE to create a handmade card! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned stamper, this is a creative way to kick off your week with stamping fun. You do not need a specific stamp set or paper. You already have what you love, so use it! You will find the first clue (the supplies and measurements) for this week’s challenge below.

CLUE #1 -Gather your supplies to be ready to play Mystery Monday Stampin’

Cardstock Base– 4 1/4 x 11
Cardstock- 2 @ 1 3/4 x 5
Designer Series Paper – 2 @ 1 1/2 x 4 3/4 (horizontal) *Can be same or different
Basic White/Neutral Cardstock- 4 x 5 1/4, extra for stamping/die cutting
Envelope
Stamps
Ink
Adhesive
Embellishments/Ribbon of choice (optional)
Tools – Trimmer/Score Board, Bone Folder
*Optional – coloring tools, die cut/punch, Cut & Emboss Machine

Did you play along with my Mystery Monday Stampin’? If you followed the clues you would have created a Box Seat Fun Fold Card similar to this one.

This fun fold card design by Sue Campfield had me with the name! Sue called it the “box seat” fun fold because the center section popped out and looked like a box seat at an old fashioned theatre or opera house! How cool is that?!!!

My daughter and I love to go to the theater. She lives in New York and for her birthday this year I bought us box seats to see one of our favorite shows. This fun fold card was perfect to go with her tickets!

If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, then you know when it comes to cards for my daughter I always go with shades of purple (her favorite color). I chose the Floral Charm Designer Series Paper and Charming Day Bundle for this year’s birthday card.

The versatile Floral Charm 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper is a must-have for any paper crafter. The watercolor florals, greenery, and washes are sure to complement so many different projects. I have made so many cards with this gorgeous DSP! (*Click Floral Charm in the search button to view past posts.)

I used the Charming Day Bundle for the die cut flowers on the front and back of my card as well as one of the sentiments on the back. Here’s a closer look at the die cut flowers.

I cut the floral die twice, once in pecan pie and once in petunia pop. I used my small blending brushes to add pecan pie ink to the leaves and blackberry bliss to the center of the flowers. Then I snipped the leaves off the petunia pop one and adhered it to the pecan pie die cut.

The back of this card looks as pretty as the front!

I used another pattern of the DSP on the back then added a basic beige layer to the side panels to add my sentiments and space to sign. I absolutely love how this card turned out!

Here’s a look at the 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 card laying flat to show all the layers.

The floral dies are just adhered to the center panel with Mini Glue Dots. The leaves going off the sides are loose.

This card folds easily to fit in a medium envelope. Simply fold the side panels to the back of the card. *They slightly overlap one another.

I used a basic beige envelope I had from a Paper Pumpkin Kit and decorated the flap to coordinate with my card. (I really wish Stampin’ Up! would sell Basic Beige envelopes!)
