I love the beach! We had a wonderful family vacation combing the beach, eating seafood, and just relaxing and chatting away as the waves crashed along the shore. (I think that was the best therapy for me!!!) As we walked along the beach path there was this “rock garden”. It just made me smile as I read the weathered board and looked at all the different painted rocks.
How simple yet powerful! It hit me that this is something I could do with my students! I go back to the doctor this week and I’m hoping to be cleared to go back to school. I would love to involve my Pre-K students in painting rocks and making a special Kindness Garden at school. I teach my little ones that they can make a difference (even at 4 years old) and we role play ways to show kindness. This would be something they could be involved in as well as the school community. I can just imagine the kids on their way home from school or church choosing a rock or adding one of their own to share. I’m excited!
The sentiment on my card today says it all. A little kindness, whether it’s a card, a smile, or a painted rock can brighten someone’s day. I hope you are inspired to spread a little kindness today.
This simple card layout is one that would work with whatever Designer Series Paper and sentiments you have. I used the Abstract Impressions Stamp set with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and Layering Circles Framelits. The ribbon is wrapped around the DSP layer and tied with Linen Thread. The DSP is from the retired Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack.
