You can use the Timeless Label Punch, Stitched Nested Dies, or the different Layering Shapes Dies to highlight the sentiments on your projects.  I created four cards to share with you using the Everything Festive Stamp Set and Scalloped Note Cards & Envelopes.

I used several common elements on each of these cards. The sentiments are from the Everything Festive stamp set, heat embossed and cut with the Layering Ovals Dies. I wanted to use the layered scallop around the sentiment to tie it in with the scalloped note cards & envelopes. Each card has a 1 1/2″ strip of Designer Series Paper layered with Foil or Glimmer Paper. The inside of the card has a 1/2″ strip of the DSP with a 1/4″ strip of the same foil or glimmer paper. I had so much fun decorating the envelopes too! Here’s a picture of each card and coordinating envelope.

Stampin' Up! Everything Festive and Feels Like Frost Christmas card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

This card uses the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper, Silver Glimmer Paper, and Silver Embossing Powder. I heat embossed the envelope with snowflakes from the Seasonal Wreaths Stamp Set.

I couldn’t resist making another card with this gorgeous DSP from Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. It’s layered with copper foil. The sentiment is heat embossed with copper embossing powder. Here’s a peek at how I layered the bottom of the card on the inside.

The repeated layers ties it all together and the envelope gives a sneak peek at what’s inside.

This is my favorite one! I just love the little spider on the envelope! My friend, Rosanne Mulhern (heartfeltstamping.com), was visiting for the weekend and she suggested adding the spider. We always have so much fun stamping together and bouncing ideas off each other. The DSP is from Monster Bash and the sentiment on the inside is from the Wonderfully Wicked Stamp Set. (The spider is from the coordinating Wicked Dies. *These are available as a bundle.)

My last card is intended for Valentine’s Day; however, this sentiment could be used for any time of the year!

Stampin' Up! Everything Festive Valentine card idea using Scalloped Note Card and Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I stamped the sentiment for this one in Real Red Ink then heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. The red & white striped DSP is from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper and layered with Red Glimmer Paper. I added a red glimmer heart on the envelope with a glue dot.  It is punched from the Every Season Punch Pack.  I used the coordinating stamp set, To Every Season,  for the inside sentiment. (The stamp set and set of 4 punches are available as a bundle too!)

I stamped the sentiment off to the side so I could write a personal message.

I just love how the Scalloped Note Cards & Envelopes were the perfect colors for my seasonal holiday cards! The note cards & envelopes come in a set of 20 (5 each of 4 colors: Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Powder Pink, Terracotta Tile). You can see more ideas for these note cards HERE.

Which card is your favorite?

Painted Autumn Fun Fold for Tic Tac Toe Challenge #16

Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn! Autumn officially begins tomorrow and I have an easy fun fold card to share with you as we welcome a new season.  Here is my Autumn card for this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge.

Stampin Up Painted Autumn Fall/Thanksgiving fun fold card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

Here’s this week’s challenge board.

I chose elements going across the top row: metallic, glow, and autumn colors. I tried to get a photo so you could see the “glow”. I used a battery tea light in the back which shines through the vellum. You could easily place this near a light and get the same effect.

This fun fold card measures 4 1/4 x 8 and is scored at 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 5 1/2, 6 3/4.  I love the mix of fall colors in the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.

Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up! For ideas and ordering visit www.juststampin.com
Coordinating colors: Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Garden Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Peekaboo Peach, Soft Sky, Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla

The DSP strips on each side measure 1 x 4 and the center piece measures 2 3/4 x 4.  I adhered the DSP to the cardstock then used the Seasonal Layers Thinlits to cut the leaf out through both layers. I sponged a piece of vellum using Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, and Lemon Lime Twist inks.  I adhered the vellum to the back of the card using glue dots.  (You can see in the photo above how I framed the back of the vellum using the Layering Squares Framelits to give it  finished look.)

I am thrilled Stampin’ Up brought back the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets! What a difference it makes in adhering the detailed dies.  I adhered a piece of Copper Metallic Foil to the Multipurpose Adhesive before cutting it with out with the detailed leaf die. It was so easy to just peel the backing and adhere to the vellum inside the framelit. If you haven’t tried the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets you need to put them on your next order…they are a must have for anyone who has dies!

I stamped the sentiment from the Painted Harvest Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. I flagged the end and added a small banner in copper foil. I wrapped the Copper Trim and tied a bow on the end. The banner is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

P is for Pop Up Fun Fold

Welcome to my ABC’s with Fun Folds series. Today’s card is one I have made several times.  I love this Pop-Up fun fold!

Pop Up Fun Fold Card. For directions and supplies visit www.juststampin.com

I used the Affectionately Your Specialty Designer Series Paper for my card base.  This piece is a thick cardstock with copper embossing.  Oh how I love it! It is retiring tomorrow so if I were you I would stock up now…it’s even on sale!!! Click HERE to add this to your shopping cart.

To make the pop up card you need a piece of cardstock measuring 4 1/4 x 11. Score at 1, 2 3/4, 3 3/4, 5 1/2, 7 1/4, 8 1/4, 10. Line it up in the personal trimmer in the center (at the 5 1/2 inch score line) and trim from 3/4 inches – 3 1/2 inches. The arrow on the cutting blade makes  it easy to see where to cut.

Next, fold the cardstock along the center cut line and trim the opening with paper snips for a clean cut along the score line.  Then fold along all score lines. Apply Tear & Tape Adhesive along the top and bottom of the card base.

img_2766

I heat embossed the sentiment from Big on Birthdays on a piece of 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 Night of Navy cardstock using Copper Embossing Powder. I layered the sentiment on Flirty Flamingo cardstock that’s just 1/4″ larger (2 3/4 x 5 1/2). Notice how I stamped higher on the cardstock to make sure it would show when the card is sitting in the base.  I used the Star Blast Edgelits Dies (also retiring) to cut the design from Copper Foil.  I adhered it with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

img_2767

The card slides up and down through the slot.  It’s so cool how it folds flat for mailing and is free standing once it is opened.  I wrapped some of the new Copper Trim around the card and tied a bow. I punched the flower from Flirty Flamingo cardstock using the Pansy Punch and stamped the center with VersaMark using the Love & Affection Stamp Set and heat embossed it before adhering it to the card front. I adhered a piece of 2 1.4 x 6″ piece of DSP to the envelope and trimmed the excess.

Here are some other Pop-Up cards I made previously using the Gift of Love Stamp Set (retiring May 31). You can click on the image to see the original post with lots photos.
