Trifold Accordion Cards with Nests of Winter & Celebratory Sips…Free PDF

September 30, 2025September 30, 2025 ~ Jeanie Stark ~ 3 Comments

Did you play along with my Mystery Monday Stampin’? If you followed the clues you would have created a Trifold Accordion Card similar to these.
Mystery Solved!
Stampin' Up! Trifold Accordion Cards with Nests of Winter & Celebratory Sips-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I love that this fun fold can be vertical or horizontal. I got the idea/measurements from Kathi Ondus. She created a vertical “stretch” card; however, I have seen several different versions on Pinterest. This is really a quick & easy fun fold. I created both versions to share with you today. Let’s take a closer look at each of these cards.
Stampin' Up! Trifold Accordion Card with Ornamental Christmas & Nests of Winter Designer series Paper-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
I created this card using the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper and Ornamental Christmas Stamp Set.

I was thrilled when the Nests of Winter DSP carried over from last year! With adorable hand-sketched Christmas birds perched on winter trees and detailed nature elements, you’ll find ways to use these designs for card making, paper crafting, and more.

I fussy cut the birds and greenery from the DSP for the front and inside of my card. It’s so cool how this fun fold card opens. Definitely unexpected!
Stampin' Up! Trifold Accordion Card with Ornamental Christmas & Nests of Winter Designer series Paper-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
All three sentiments I used are from the Ornamental Christmas Stamp Set, a new online exclusive you won’t in find any catalog!
Stampin' Up! Ornamental Christmas stamp set-visit juststampin.com for handmade inspiration and more-Jeanie Stark StampinUp

Deck the halls with beautiful handmade cards and tags with the Ornamental Christmas Stamp Set. Featuring a collection of classic Christmas trees and sentiments, this stamp set makes Christmas crafting oh so easy. Unleash your creativity and let your holiday crafting projects shine. This stamp set is part of the Modern Christmas Suite Collection. (Save 10% when you purchase the bundle.)

I fussy cut another bird from the DSP to decorate my envelope to coordinate.

My second card today is the horizontal version of this fun fold.

For this card I used the Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper, Cheers & Sips Stamp Set, and The Right Words Stamp Set (inside sentiment). Here’s a peek at this DSP.

Stampin' Up! Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper-visit juststampin.com for inspiration and ordering information-Jeanie stark StampinUp — Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper Colors: Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, Bubble Bath, Cloud Cover, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive, Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink, Secret Sea, Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger

Infuse your crafts with whimsical watercolors, fruity florals, and garnishes galore with the Celebratory Sips 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper! This patterned paper features fruit, flowers, and summer-inspired drink designs.
This DSP, and coordinating stamp set & dies are part of the Celebratory Sips Suite Collection. It has been so popular it has sold out several times! I love it and had to have it all!!!!

Here’s a view of this card so you can see the accordion fold.

And another with the card “stretched” open.

The sentiment I used on the inside is from one of my favorite sentiment stamp sets, The Right Words.
Stampin' Up! THe Right Words Stamp Set-visit juststampin.com for handmade inspiration and more-Jeanie stark StampinUp
Leave nothing unsaid with The Right Words Stamp Set! This stamp set includes all-occasion sentiments for card making like birthday, gratitude, sympathy, friendship, and more. All sentiments can be used both outside and inside your handmade cards.

I love both versions of these cards. I think this is a cool and unexpected fun fold. I like how the vertical card stretches open; however, I do prefer the horizontal version just because it stand to display. I love to display my cards and hope those that I send them to do as well!

What do you think of this fun fold? Do you like the vertical or horizontal version better? Leave a comment below and let me know!

I would love for you to play along with my mystery stamping! Click on the PDF below and follow the clues. Then take a photo of your card and send an attachment to my email (j.stark@goeaston.net). I can’t wait to see what you create! Will it be the vertical or horizontal version? I’d love to share your works of art on my Sunday Showcase!
