The Beautiful Butterflies Bundle includes the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set and the Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Embossing Folder (with 12 Dies). The Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Embossing Folder is a great way to bring fluttery, delicate designs to your paper crafts! There’s so much you can do with this set! One of the dies cuts out a folded butterfly-shaped card. Cut it out, then layer an embossed butterfly on top for depth. Here’s a closer look at the dies!

Here’s how I did the Spritzing Technique…
Supplies: Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Embossing Folder, Ink, Blending Brushes, Sponge Daubers, Stampin’ Spritzer, Vellum (or cardstock), Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine
Spritzing Technique with Stampin' Up! Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Embossing Folder-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
1. Use a Blending Brush to apply Boho Blue ink to the butterfly on the raised part of the embossing folder (the side that has the Stampin’ Up! Logo on the front).
2. Use sponge daubers to add Melon Mambo and Garden Green ink.
3. Lay the butterfly die in the embossing folder with the cutting edge up. *You will feel it “lock” in place.
4. Spray a couple squirts of water with the Stampin’ Spritzer.
5. Lay the vellum (or cardstock) on top, close the folder, and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. It will blend the inks, cut, & emboss at the same time!

6. Allow to dry then add die cut butterfly layer.

I created another butterfly using this technique with cardstock and different colors.

I need a lot of fall birthday cards and my go to this fall is the online exclusive Changing Leaves Bundle. This bundle includes the Changing Leaves Stamp Set and the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder.

You can add color, layers, and texture to your projects with the coordinated products in this bundle. Stamp skeleton leaves and sentiments, then emboss and die cut them in seconds! Double the creative possibilities with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder! The dies snap into the embossing folder; add your paper, run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, and out come die-cut, embossed accents! You can also use the embossing folder without the dies for embossing large pieces or use the dies alone to cut out solid, flat leaves and labels. I embossed and die cut the large leaf with a piece of Gold Mercury Vellum then used ink and sponges to add some color. I love how it turned out!

Papers: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Gold Foil, Gold MercuryVellum
Ink: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wheat
Tools & Accessories: Changing Leaves Dies, Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder, Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder, Deckled Rectangle Dies, Blending Brushes, Paper Trimmer, 1/8″ Gold Trim, Gold Glimmer Enamel Dots, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Adhesive

Measurements:

Card base (Old Olive): 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4
Gold Foil: 4 x 2 3/4
Very Vanilla: 4 x 2 3/4 (cut with Deckled Rectangle Die), 5/8 x 2 1/2 to stamp sentiment, 4 x 5 1/4 (inside card)
Gold Mercury Vellum: 6×6 to die cut and emboss leaves

Directions:

Fold and burnish card base.
Emboss the deckled rectangle with the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder then adhere to the gold foil layer. Adhere to center of card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Die cut and emboss the leaf with Gold Mercury Vellum using the Changing Leaves Hybrid embossing folder and Changing Leaves Dies.
Use blending brushes to add color to the front of the leaf with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Wild Wheat ink. Adhere to card with Mini Glue Dots.
Tie a bow with gold trim and add to leaf with Mini Glue Dot.
Stamp sentiment in Old Olive ink on Very Vanilla and adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add Gold Dot embellishments to front of card.
Stamp leaf and sentiment on Very Vanilla in Old Olive ink. Adhere inside card.

I didn’t want to change a thing as I loved everything about the sample card, especially the fun colors and all the little cards in the mail slot. I even tried out my new Stampin’ Up! Blending Brushes and let me say…LOVE THEM!!! (They’re softer than my makeup brushes!!!) The square on the box with the snail is actually Basic White that I blended with Pool Party and Bermuda Bay using my blending brushes.

Here’s the details to make this card:

Card Base (Bermuda Bay): 8 1/2 x 8 scored at 4″
DSP Layer (Snail Mail): 3 3/4 x 8 1/4, fussy cut snail from DSP
Mailbox (Bermuda Bay): 3 1/4 x 6 – Cut with the Stitched Rectangle to make the legs. Punch the top with the Corner Rounder.
Envelopes: Cut 5 with die – 1 Real Red, 1 Bermuda Bay, 1 Pool Party, 2 Blushing Bride. Use exacto knife to cut slit in mailbox to stuff envelopes.
Whisper White: 3 3/4 x 8 1/4 (inside piece), 2 1/2 x 3 to cut stitched square, scrap to stamp sentiment in Real Red and cut apart, scrap to cut little letter and stamp with hearts in Blushing Bride and Real Red.

This card fits in a #10 business size envelope. I love to stamp this Happy Mail sentiment on envelopes. *You can add your postage stamp right beside it.
