Welcome to my ABC Color Series! Stampin’ Up! offers so many great color choices! I love to combine different colors and patterns and hope to inspire you with some fun color combinations throughout this series. Today’s project features one of my daughter’s favorite colors, Highland Heather.
This card uses the Darling Details Bundle. (*Our coordinated craft bundles save you time and money! Buy the bundle and save 10% off the price of buying the stamp and dies separately.)
There are several stand alone dies in this set. The stamp set is perfect for birthdays, thank you cards, or those “just because” times. You know me, I love a versatile set! The darling doily designs plus the simple florals makes this the perfect stamp and die bundle for everyday occasions to use year-round! *You can even weave ribbon through the strip I used on the envelope if you want to add some fun texture.
I love embossing folders and used two different ones from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders (an online exclusive set of 3). I added dots to the envelope flap and used the crosshatch to emboss the background on the card front. The flowers (and large leaves) are stamped using a two-step stamp technique. I used Gorgeous Grape ink for the outline image and stamped inside the flowers with Highland Heather.
This card can be used for many different occasions. Add whatever sentiment you need on the inside.
I haven’t made this fun fold in awhile. It’s called a Z fold and it is a quick & easy fun fold!

It’s Tic Tac Toe Thursday! I really enjoy being part of the Tic Tac Toe Challenge Design Team! It’s fun and easy to use the challenge board as inspiration to create! I hope you will pick 3 and play along! Here’s this week’s board.
I chose across the bottom: Circles, Heat Embossing (one of my favorite techniques!), and FREE (fun fold/watercoloring). Here’s my card:
This fun fold was designed by Patty Bennett and she calls it a 2,4,6,8 card. It is quick & easy to make. And it is so unique! I love how it opens!
Measurements and Directions:
Cut cardstock (Misty Moonlight) 4 x 5 1/2 for card base.
Cut your DSP(Let’s Go Fishing) 5 1/2 x 12. Score @ 2, 4, 6, and 8.
Fold and burnish like an accordion.
Adhere the first and second folds together and the third and fourth folds together. Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 section to the card base.
Punch two 2 3/8 Circles from Shimmery White Cardstock.
Stamp the sentiment from Circle Sayings in center of one of the circles. Stamp banner sentiment on a scrap of Shimmery Cardstock using Boho Blue ink and fussy cut.
Stamp images from Circle Sayings on Shimmery White circles with Versamark. Heat emboss with White Embossing Powder. (*It makes it so easy to stay in the lines when watercoloring if you heat emboss first.)
Watercolor images using Stampin’ Up! Water Painters and ink refills. (*I put a few drops of ink refill in the lids of the ink pads and pick up the color with the Water Painters.)
Die cut 2 Circles from Stylish Shapes Dies in Misty Moonlight Cardstock. Adhere watercolored circles to stitched circles.
Adhere layered circle near the top of the front of the card. Then adhere second circle near the bottom of the next layer. *Make sure you just add adhesive on the left side.
Punch 2 circle for the inside of the card and adhere to the card base. Add sentiment of choice and/or personal message.
Wrap BoHo Blue Jute Twine around first section of the card front and tie in a bow. Add fussy cut banner with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
