Welcome to my 12 Days of Christmas-Day 1! I am so excited to bring you 12 days of fun Christmas projects that will hopefully inspire you! Today I am sharing a pop up fun fold gift card holder using the Jolly Holly Hybrid Embossing Folder.

Reasons I love HYBRID EMBOSSING FOLDERS …
– Easily make great impressions!
– Include dies that fit inside special ridges in the embossing folder for one-step cutouts with dimension.
– Can be used separately or together for a variety of looks and styles.
– To use, place flat cardstock in the embossing folder and run it through a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Out comes cardstock with a bold, textured design.

I added some Pearlized Enamel Effects in Real Red to the berries and gently folded some of the holly leaves to tuck in the sentiment layer. The stitched rectangle dies and more (including a joy word die) are included in the set.

This card can be horizontal or vertical depending on the orientation of your sentiment.

I used the coordinating Jolly Holly stamp set for both of the sentiments used on my cards. There are many choices to mix and match!

Make all-occasion tags, cards, and more with the One of a Kind Stamp Set. Send words of kindness to a friend, make lovely gift packaging tags, or share Christmas wishes this winter. Use individual snowflake designs on a card front or multiple designs to achieve a different look. The smaller images like the swirl can be stamped repeatedly to create a fun background or border.

The bundle includes two snowflake dies: one bigger, open snowflake die and one smaller, intricate snowflake die.

To Create this Project

  • Card Base (Thick Basic White): 5 1⁄2 x 8 1⁄2” score at 4 1⁄4
  • DSP(Iconic Celebrations): 2 @ 1 1⁄2 x 4
  • Basic White cardstock: 3 x 4 1⁄4 emboss top (~2/3) with Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder, scrap to die cut snowflake with One of Kind Dies
  • Brushed Silver Foil: 2 @ 1⁄2 x 4 1⁄4 , scrap to die cut snowflake
  • Silver & White Ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewel
  • Basic White Medium Envelope (emboss envelope flap)

Directions:

  1. Fold and burnish card base.
  2. Adhere DSP to the card base leaving equal border along top, bottom, and side.
  3. Stamp sentiment on bottom third of embossed white piece. Wrap silver & white ribbon above sentiment and tie a simple knot in front.
  4. Adhere silver foil on sides of embossed layer. Adhere to card front.
  5. Adhere white snowflake to silver with Mini Glue Dot. Adhere to card withStampin’ Dimensional. Embellish with Rhinestone Basic Jewel.
  6. Emboss envelope flap with Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.

I love embossing folders! They are a quick and easy way to add texture and depth to a card for a WOW factor. You can even emboss the envelope to coordinate.

If you ordered my 12 Days of Christmas Kit to Go you received everything you need to craft along with me. Here’s a look at what was included in the kit for today’s project.

To Create this Project

  • Card Base (Mossy Meadow): 5 1⁄2” x 8 1⁄2” score at 2 1/8 ”and 4 1⁄4′′
  • Old Olive cardstock: 4 x 5 1⁄4
  • Mossy Meadow cardstock: 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 Emboss w/ Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder
  • Basic White: 4 x 5 1⁄4 (inside), scrap to die cut sentiment layer with Greetings of the Season Dies
  • DSP (Season of Green & Gold): 1 x 5 1⁄4 (inside)
  • DSP (Iconic Celebrations): die cut tree using Iconic Imagery Die
  • Gold Satin Edged Ribbon & Simply Elegant Trim
  • Adhesive-Backed Birds
  • Basic White Medium Envelope

Directions:

  1. Fold & burnish card base. Fold in half then fold right side back on front.
  2. Adhere embossed layer to Old Olive cardstock. Adhere layer to card front. *Just put adhesive on left side.
  3. Stamp sentiment. Thread ribbon through end and tie with gold trim. Adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  4. Adhere die cut tree above sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensional.
  5. Embellish with Adhesive Backed Birds.

  6. Adhere DSP strip to White layer then adhere inside card. Stamp sentiment or add handwritten note.

*Envelope is embossed along left edge to coordinate.
*This could easily be used for a birthday, sympathy, thinking of you, thank, etc. card simply by changing the sentiment.
