Mystery Solved!

This is a simple fun fold to create. I’d like to give a shout out to LeeAnn Greff who inspired me to create this fun fold for Mystery Stampin’. You’ll find the PDF at the end of this post but first I thought I’d share the basic measurements I got from LeeAnn.

Measurements:

• Card Base– 4 1/4” x 11 ” scored @ 2 3/4, 5 1/2, & 8 1/4
• Cardstock for brace –7 1/2 x 1 scored @ 1, 3, & 4 1/2
• Designer Series Paper- 4 pieces @ 2 1/2 x 4
• Basic White – 2 pieces @ 2 1/2 x 4 (for back)
• Scraps for die cuts for focal piece (on brace)

Let’s take a closer look at each of my cards.

This card features the beautiful Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up and coordinating Pretty Florals Stamp Set. I don’t know which I love more….the paper, the stamp set, or this cool pop-out fun fold design!
I love how this card pops forward and appears to be floating.
This card can be displayed full view or with the ends tucked back.

The message is hidden on the back of the card when it’s folded.

This card is just one surprise after another!

You can make your cards bloom with the Pretty Florals Stamp Set. This set has different floral and foliage designs that you can combine for a single flower or for a full garden.

I love two-step stamping! It makes creating these pretty flowers so easy! I stamped the flower details in Pumpkin Pie ink then filled in with Peach Pie. I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies to layer the flower image. I stamped my envelope to coordinate.

For my second card I die cut a heart for my focal piece.

I used the Hearts of Elegance Dies and the Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper. The Hearts of Elegance Stamp Set and Dies are on the last Chance Product List and are on sale for 20% OFF!  Hearts can be used all year long for many different cards! This is a great set to add to your collection!

I love the gold foil in the DSP. I decided to highlight the gold by adding a gold banner, gold thread, heart embellishment, and heat embossed the sentiment in gold.

I created this card for a wedding but you could also use it for Valentine’ Day, new baby, anniversary, or just to let someone know you’re thinking of them.
I like it displayed either way! Which do you prefer?


I adhered a gift card on back using a few mini glue dots. You could easily add a pocket if you prefer.

I decided to get fancy with the Fancy Border Dies for my envelope! I added a peek-through effect with the heart pattern and a 3/4″ strip of DSP.

The Fancy Borders Die Set has many different border dies you can use to cut out decorative designs on envelopes, cards, scrapbook pages, and other paper crafting projects.

I didn’t stop there! I had so much fun creating a 3D project to go with my card last week that I decided to do it again. This week I created a slider box to coordinate with this card.
