This is such an easy fun fold and is one of my “go to” designs!!! I’m still working on March birthday cards. (It’s the most popular month for birthdays among my friends and family!) Today’s cards feature two new specialty designer series papers from the March Online Exclusives, Delicate Dreams and Delicate Designs. This card showcases 3 different patterns of DSP. The flower is fussy cut from DSP and adhered to the circle die cut. I punched a 2 1/4″ Circle from bronze foil to layer the sentiment with the ribbon in between.

I love the way this fun fold card opens. The sentiment circle is only attached to 1″ edge with Stampin’ Dimensionals so it acts as the closure for the card and also decorates the inside of the card.

I added a second piece of 3 x 5 1/4 DSP on the inside and decorated my envelope with DSP, foil, and cardstock to coordinate.

I stepped up my second card with an added layer of cardstock around the DSP.

I also changed up the inside of the card. *There’s no right or wrong way to do mystery stamping! It’s ok to “go rogue”!

A Slider Pop-Up Card for Tic Tac Toe Challenge #287

It’s time for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

I chose to go across the bottom with Neutral Colors, Interactive Element, and Frame. Here’s my card.

This pop-up slider card has a fun interactive element.
Here’s a closer look at the card.

When the card is closed you can see the “slider” at the bottom. As you hold the slider band on the side you simply pull from the notch and your card pops up and reveals the sentiment on the inside.

I used the Fragrant Layers Dies to create the frame as the focal point of this beautiful sympathy card.

Measurements:
Card base (Crumb Cake): 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Cardstock (Crumb Cake): 2 3/4 x 1 1/2-score @ 1/2 & 2 1/4 (back pop-up mechanism), 5 1/2 x 1 1/2-score @ 1/2, 1, 1 1/2, & 2(front pop-up mechanism), 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 (pop-up layer), 9 1/2 x 1 1/2 – score @ 2 3/8 & 6 3/4 (slider wrap)
Cardstock (Very Vanilla): 3 2/4 x 3 1/4 (message), 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 (die cut with Fragrant Layers flower die), 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 – with 5 1/4 @ the top, score @ 1 1/2

Both of today’s cards are intentional and will be going in the mail this week. I needed a retirement card for our friend and “former” accountant who retired this year. I also needed a thinking of you card for a friend who has been dealing with a lot lately. The Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper was a perfect choice with it’s gorgeous watercolor imagery for both masculine and feminine cards.

Let’s take a closer look at each of today’s cards.

You can see how this card got it’s name with the way the front panels “crossover” and open like a gate.

This card is quick & easy to create and proves you can still create a unique “WOW” card with a clean and simple design. I stamped my sentiment from Sunrise Sailing (Last Chance Product) right on the DSP and added a few die cut seagulls to the front. The DSP shines on it’s own! You have plenty of space for a message on the inside.

I added some DSP to the inside panels. These 2 1/2 x 4 pieces are optional and not in the measurements with the supplies. If this was a retirement card from a group you could easily use these side panels for extra signatures. The recipient of this card lives on the water and loves to take his boat out fishing most mornings. I still had some of the retired Gone Fishing DSP which coordinated with the colors so I added it to the sides. The sentiments from Notes & Totes is prefect for this retirement card.

I used the extra DSP from the 6 x6 piece to decorate the envelope flap to coordinate.
