Mystery Monday Stampin’

Welcome back for another Mystery Monday Stampin’! I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise!

Yesterday I shared your first clue. If you missed that post (with the list of supplies),Click HERE for Clue #1

Now that you have your cardstock, designer series paper, and other supplies, it’s time to create! Simply follow the clues step by step to create a beautiful card. Feel free to add your own twist…there is no right or wrong way to do Mystery Monday Stampin’! Here are the rest of the clues:

CLUE #2
Score the 8 1/4 x 5 1/4 cardstock along the 8 1/4 ″ side @ 2 3/4 and 6 3/4. Fold the ends inwards to meet in the middle. *The left end (larger section) will overlap the smaller section. Burnish with a bone folder.

CLUE #3
Adhere the 1 1/4 x 5 DSP to the right flap on the front. Adhere the 2 1/2 x 5 DSP pieces on the left flap. One on the front and one on the back/inside.

CLUE #4
Score the 3 3/4 x 4 1/4 cardstock. With the 3 3/4 piece at the top, score at 3/8″.
Fold and burnish the score line.

CLUE #5
Adhere the 3 x 4 white layer to the cardstock leaving equal space along the top and bottom and the score line on the left. *You will have a little more space on the right side (but that will be hidden).

CLUE #6
I prefer Tear & Tape adhesive for the next step. Add adhesive to the 3/8 scored section. I found the easiest way to adhere this to the card is to open the card and line the 3/8″ edge up against the inside score line on the left. Make sure it is centered (top and bottom). Hold it in place and close the left flap to adhere.

CLUE #7
Open the card and open the right flap. Put adhesive (I prefer Tear & Tape) on the top and bottom edges of the right flap and adhere down. *This will adhere on top of the inside layer from clue #6 creating a slide-out message on the inside.

CLUE #8
Adhere this layer to the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base.

CLUE #9
Stamp/Punch/Die Cut sentiment and/or image to create a focal piece. Adhere the focal piece to the card front, only adhering to the left side. Stamp message/image on the inside.

CLUE #10
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments? Trim/Ribbon? Add that now.

CLUE #11
Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.

I’ve missed mystery stamping the past two weeks! I hope you are ready to join me for this week’s Mystery Monday Stampin’ Challenge! It’s really fun and easy. I give you step by step clues to create a fun fold card.
(Plus I send a FREE PDF to everyone who participates each week!!!)
The best part is you USE WHAT YOU HAVE to create a handmade card! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned stamper, this is a creative way to kick off your week with stamping fun. You do not need a specific stamp set or paper. You already have what you love, so use it! You will find the first clue (the supplies and measurements) for this week’s challenge below.

CLUE #1 -Gather your supplies to be ready to play Mystery Monday Stampin’

  • Cardstock (Base) 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
  • Cardstock – 8 1/4 x 5 1/4, 3 3/4 x 4 1/4
  • Designer Series Paper – 2 @ 2 1/2 x 5 (H), 1 1/4 x 5 (H)
  • Basic White Cardstock- 3 x 4
  • Focal Piece/sentiment layer
  • Envelope
  • Stamps
  • Ink
  • Adhesive
  • Embellishments/Ribbon of choice (optional)
  • Tools – Trimmer/Score Board, Bone Folder
  • *Optional – coloring tools, die cut/punch, embossing folder, Cut & Emboss Machine

Fragrant Layers Corner Flip Card for Tic Tac Toe #289

Happy Thursday! I am honored to be the designer for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week. I had so much fun creating with this week’s board!www.juststampin.com
I love it when I can use multiple elements from the board and create Tic Tac Toe several different ways. I went across the top, down the left side, and both ways on the diagonal using 7 of the 9 elements. This is such a fun and creative challenge!!! What 3 will you pick? I love fun folds so I knew I would be starting there! Here’s my card.

This fun fold card is a corner flip pop up card. It is so much fun and easy to create! You start with a piece of 6 3/4 x 8 Designer Series Paper. I used the Lovely & Beautiful Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! With just a couple of score lines and a simple fold over to match up the score lines, you can create this card to WOW your friends & family.

The designer series paper and flowers from Stampin’ Up!’s Fragrant Layers stamp set remind me of Spring.  I used a simple coloring technique with watercolor pencils and Wink of Stella.

I heat embossed the floral image with Gold Embossing Powder. After coloring, I die cut the image with a rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I adhered a ribbon bow to the front of the card with a Mini Glue Dot.

Here’s how the corner pops up to open.

I left the inside blank for now as this card can be used for many different occasions.

I used the DSP to make my coordinating envelope.
