It’s a well known fact that I LOVE designer series papers! My current obsession is with the Everyday Happiness 12 x 12 DSP.  You can find this paper in the Scrapbooking Brochure on page 19.

The timeless patterns of florals, ginghams, polka dots, and more look stunning in the teal and beige color palette. I love all 6 patterns and you get 4 each of the 3 double-sided designs. I needed a masculine birthday card as well as a thank you card and this paper met both my needs!

I pulled out the Wanted To Say Dies for the sentiments on the front of my cards. The words were cut using a piece of the DSP. I also added that paper on the inside to add a handwritten note or stamped message. I Love the textured look of this paper!

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Do you have a favorite football team or do you watch the game for the halftime show and/or the commercials?  I know my friend Rosanne is cheering for the Eagles (and I often lose when I bet against her); however, I am hoping for the Chiefs to win 3 in a row! Measurements:
Card Base: 5 1⁄2 x 8 1⁄2 score @ 4 1/4
DSP (Timeless Plaid): 3 x 4, 2 3⁄4 x 3, 2 x 6 (envelope)
Basic White: scrap to die cut sentiment with Unbounded Love Die,
                         5 1⁄4 x 4 (inside layer)
Cardstock: Scraps to punch with Bough Punch, 1⁄4 x 6 (envelope)
Embellishment: 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim

*Tip for cutting your 6×6 DSP to create this card:

  • First cut 2 x 6 piece from the top or bottom (for envelope flap) 
  • Then cut 4 x 6 piece in 1/2 to get your 3 x 4 piece (adhere to left side)
  • Rotate and cut remaining piece at 2 3/4 x 3 (use pattern on opposite side)

Simple Peekaboo All Occasion Card

Today’s project is a simple fun fold card that works with many different sentiments for any occasion!

Here are the details to create this card:

Supplies/Measurements:

Card base-5 x 5 1⁄2, score along the 5” side at 4 1⁄4
DSP (Splendid Autumn 6×6): 4 1⁄4 x 5 1⁄2 , 3⁄4 x 5 1⁄4 , 1⁄2 x 4 3/8, 1 x 4 3/8 Basic White: 5 1⁄4 x 4 (inside)
Linen Thread, Hexagon Punch

Directions:

  1. Fold and burnish card base. *There will be a 3⁄4” flap on the side.
  2. Adhere the DSP to the inside of the 3/4” flap on the side of the card. *Tip-Lay the DSP on the inside and add adhesive along the card flap then close the flap.

  3. Adhere the Basic White cardstock to the inside of card
  4. Stamp sentiment inside the punched window.
  5. Adhere DSP strip inside card.

  6. Tie Linen Thread around the 3/4” flap of the card base and tie in a bow. *I add a mini glue dot under the bow to keep the thread in place.
  7. Adhere DSP strips to the front of the envelope.
