Welcome to my ABC Color Series! Stampin’ Up! offers so many great color choices! I love to combine different colors and patterns and hope to inspire you with some fun color combinations throughout this series. Today’s cards feature some Quick Color Combos. I’m a big fan of “Color Buddies”!
Color Buddies are monochromatic colors that work well together. Just combine different shades of the same hue. Pretty simple, right?!

Today’s cards showcase some of my favorite Color Buddy Combos.
These cards feature a gorgeous NEW embossing folder, Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder! Look at the depth and detail you get with this embossing folder!
Here’s a closer look at each of today’s cards.
Sometimes changing up the color combos—even when using the same card design—creates a completely different look and feel!
Measurements:
- Card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
- Coordinating Cardstock Layer: cut 2 @ 3 7/8 x 5 1/8
- Embossed Layer: 3 3/4 x 5
- Basic White: 3 3/4 x 5 (inside), scrap to stamp and punch sentiment
I love Stampin’ Up! punches! Stamp a sentiment or image on cardstock, then cut it out with the punch. So easy! I used the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch on these cards. You can make quick labels, tags, and accents with this punch. It works with so many sentiment stamps! You can purchase the punch as a bundle and save 10%! Stamp a sentiment, then frame it with a pretty border. The Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp Set has images for stamping labels, tags, and focal points. The sentiments are great for many life events and occasions, from birthdays and weddings to support and sympathy. The fonts and designs are timeless so they look beautiful on any project.
