Stampin’ Up! has decided to discontinue the cling stamp line due to challenges in sourcing the necessary raw materials.

Timeline:

As part of Stampin’ Up!’s transition away from cling stamps, they’re introducing updated packaging for stamps and dies!

Because photopolymer stamps are thinner, they’re able to offer sleeker, slimmer packaging that saves space.

Both stamps and dies will now come in the same size and style of packaging, making it easier than ever to store bundles and coordinating products together.

Mystery Solved! Double Diamond Gate Fold Cards with Free PDF

Did you play along with my Mystery Monday Stampin’? If you followed the clues you would have created a Double Diamond Gate Fold card similar to these.

I need to warn you…This fun fold is addicting!!!! I couldn’t stop making them! This card looks like it would be hard but it is actually quick & easy to create! The hardest part was deciding which (of the 7 cards I created) to share with you today! LOL I decided to choose 3 as each of these is a little different. (To be honest, one really can’t be called a “double diamond” as I went totally rogue!) *Remember- there’s no right or wrong way to do mystery stampin’!!!
Here’s a closer look at each of today’s cards.

Let’s start with the Floral Impressions card. I stayed true to the mystery stamping clues for this card and created a special thank you card. I love how this fun fold card showcases both sides of the patterned paper and stands nicely for display!

I have been blessed with great friends and family who have helped me immensely through my latest surgery (and two previous). Your prayers are appreciated that this one does the trick. It’s a long healing process and I am hoping that I get good news when I visit the doctor today!

I like that this card allows you to add several sentiments and still have room for a personal message. You could easily replace one of the “white” diamonds with DSP or a stamped image/die cut if you didn’t want another sentiment. I did lots of fussy cutting on my card. When I was little I loved paper dolls and I find fussy cutting very relaxing. (And I’ve had lots of time laying around lately to fussy cut! LOL) I used leftover pieces of DSP to cut the flowers. I added a few Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots and this card was done!

My second card features the Painterly Pears Suite Collection! Stampin' Up! Double Diamond Gatefold card with Perfectly Pears Bundle & Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper-Jeanie Stark StampinUp
The Painterly Pears Suite is another favorite suite of mine! I plan to use this collection for my Thanksgiving cards this year. I Love the sentiments in the stamp set and especially love how the dies cut out some images from the gorgeous DSP!  The only fussy cutting I did on this card was the one pink pear which I adhered on top to bring more color to my focal image.

I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut the DSP in a diamond shape for my layers. I didn’t even need to add the white layer on the inside of my card. The DSP did all the work for me for this card!

My third card today is a classic example of how most cards evolve as I create. More often than not I don’t end up with what I first envisioned. Does that happen to you too?

Instead of diamond layers I ending up punching circles. I tried the diamonds but it hid the trees in the middle section which I wanted to see. Also, the 3 trees I cut from the DSP just looked lost. I added some gold trim between the circles for a bit more glam! I used the Peace on Earth Stamp Set for my sentiments. I heat embossed one in gold and stamped the other in black.

I like how it turned out with the circles and plan to experiment with some shaped dies as well.  This really is a FUN fun fold card!

Mystery Monday Stampin’

Welcome back for another Mystery Monday Stampin’! I hope you are ready for a fun creative challenge! One of the wonderful things I love about mystery stamping is you use what you have! Are you ready to choose your creative adventure and solve this week’s mystery? Grab your supplies, follow the clues, and see what your finished card looks like at the end — it’s always a fun surprise! Let’s get started!

Yesterday I shared your first clue. If you missed that post (with the list of supplies), Click HERE for Clue #1

Now that you have your cardstock, designer series paper, and other supplies, it’s time to create! Simply follow the clues step by step to create a beautiful card. Feel free to add your own twist…there is no right or wrong way to do Mystery Monday Stampin’! Here are the rest of the clues:

CLUE #2
Score the 5 1/4″ x 12″ designer series paper @ 2″, 4″, 8″, 10″ (or 2″ & 4″ from each end.)

CLUE #3
Lay your DSP flat with the pattern you want on the inside facing you. Fold the inner most score lines inward, then fold the outer score lines back.

CLUE #4
Take each of the 4 outside corners and fold them in to meet the edge of the designer series paper. Adhere the corner “triangles” down.

CLUE #5
Adhere the designer series paper card to the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cardstock.

CLUE #6
Stamp the 3 3/4 x 5 inside layer. Adhere inside the card.

CLUE #7
Position the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 neutral cardstock pieces in a diamond shape. Stamp/die cut/punch/emboss a sentiment and/or image on the diamond shaped cardstock pieces. Adhere diamond layers to 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 cardstock.

CLUE #8
Choose which diamond layer you want to see on the front of the card and put that layer aside. Take the other diamond layer and add adhesive on the back just on the right side. Center it on the front of the card. Make sure the points are centered on the top/bottom/left/right.  Adhere to the card. *It will just be adhered on the right side of the card.

CLUE #9
Open the card and fold the left side flap on top of the diamond. Take the other diamond layer and add adhesive on the back just on the left half of the diamond. Center it on the front of the card, covering the other diamond and press to adhere.

CLUE #10
Does your card need anything else? Embellishments? Trim/Ribbon? Add that now. Decorate your envelope (stamp/emboss/add DSP) to coordinate with your card.
