Make A Difference with Personalized Place Cards

I love to entertain, especially over the holidays.  I’m not much of a cook (my husband does most of the cooking in our family) but, I am all about the presentation! I am getting a head start on some personalized place cards using the Make A Difference and Blended Seasons stamp sets.

Stampin Up Blended Seasons and Make A Difference Personalized Name Card idea - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

These are really fun to make! Yesterday I shared two Christmas cards I made with the holly from the Blended Seasons stamp set. (If you missed that post you can view it HERE.) While I had everything out on my desk, I cut a bunch of 2 x 3 Thick Whisper White cardstock and stamped the holly using Memento ink. We usually have between 20-25 people for Christmas Eve dinner (that’s just our immediate family) so I thought it would be a good idea to get a head start. I plan to take these with me when we take my daughter back to college next week and color them at the hotel at night. Adding the names with the Make A Difference stamp set is a breeze as it is a photopolymer stamp set so its easy to see where to stamp the letters.

Just think of all the possibilities with this stamp set…you can make any sentiment you want! Check out this short video as Brandi from the Stampin’ Up! home office shares some more ideas with this stamp set.

I have used candy canes on a holiday buffet table before to label different food items but I think the personalized place card is so special! I used a rubber band to hold the three candy canes together then covered it up with ribbon tied in a bow. The Blended Seasons Stamp Set will be available August 1 -31 while supplies last.  It is a limited edition bundle that I know you will love and use year round! Plus Bonus Days is coming in August where you earn $5 coupons for every $50 you purchase! Get your wish list ready. I’ll share all the details next week.

I really enjoyed reading everyone’s comments yesterday about your Christmas cards.  I am amazed at how many some of you make!  WOW!  I make between 60-75 (all the same) to send to family and friends.  Of course I play around and make several cards each year until I decide on “the one”.  I always seem to find people to give the “extra” cards to each year.  You can never spread too much cheer!!

I promised to pick a random winner from the comments to send a little gift to along with one of yesterday’s cards. The winner is…….. #4 Mary Grunder!!!  Congratulations Mary!  Email me (j.stark@myactv.net) your address and I will put your goodies in the mail.  Thanks to all who left comments.  I have missed you!!!

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Such adorable place cards! I’d actually like them as gift tags, too~so special to have a stamped name on the tag rather than the normal “to/from” deal. (Don’t know about your family, but I suspect it’s like mine: never a question about the giver if it’s a present from me: it’s all about the presentation. Stampin’ Up! makes me look so creative!) Thrilled to have you back posting regularly; man, have I missed you!

    1. Thanks Linda! I love to make special tags too! These may serve double duty. After dinner Christmas Eve they may disappear and reappear on a gift Christmas morning! LOL

  2. Very clever and cute! I did not even think about this stamp set but now I see all the possibilities with your idea and Linda’s. Glad you are back…..missed you too. Enjoy the day.

    1. Thanks Mary Ann! It’s crazy to be thinking Christmas already but once I start back to school the fall flies by and it’s here before we know it!

    1. Awww thanks! You made my day! I have missed being able to create more than you can imagine! It makes me happy to play with paper!

  3. Love the placecard idea and how neat the names look. Great idea. Glad to have you back. I’ve sure missed your creativity!

  4. Jeanie, I’m so glad to see you posting. I adore these place cards. They are the cutest! I’m in awe of you thinking of Christmas!

    1. Nancy, you are so sweet! I know coloring is not your thing but I’m hoping to convert you one of these days. It’s so relaxing!!!!

  5. Congrats Mary. These are so stinking cute. The candy canes tied together are so fun. The place cards are so cute and special. Your coloring is beautiful. I wondered about that Make a Difference set. Is it really that easy to make words and names?

    1. Yes Chris, it really is that easy…and quick! I love the photopolymer for this! The stamps are small so my biggest worry is losing one. I made sure to put them right back in the case when I was done!

  6. Cute idea for placecards. I sure have missed you and your daily blog – I’m so glad you are “back”!!

    1. Thanks Linda! It’s great to be back doing what I love! Now I just have to get back to school next month! I have missed teaching my little ones!

  7. These are so adorable and won’t cost a fortune to make. You truly are remarkable. Thank you!
