Happy Thursday!  I am excited to share this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  Do you want to know why? Of course you do!  It’s because I designed this week’s challenge board and there’s a hidden message in the elements! Can you find it?  My previous challenge boards have been ABC boards but this time I thought I would change it up. Here’s this week’s challenge. I hope you will pick 3 and play!

When I designed this challenge board I had no idea what I would create. I didn’t realize this was going to be the fastest and easiest challenge to do (In My Humble Opinion)! I created tic tac toe every way by using all 9 elements on my card!

Its hard to imagine this clean & simple card used all 9 elements! Did you know Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Color Revamp has navy in the neutral color family? This card came together so fast I decided to make another and another and another and ending up making a little gift set.

My husband often asks me to make him thank you cards and this set makes a great gift for the men in your life.

I used the Very Vanilla Note Cards & Envelopes and the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper.  The DSP measures 2 7/8 x 4 3/8 and is layered on a piece of 3 x 4 1/2 cardstock. The layered panel and the sentiment layer are popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Here’s a look at the other 3 cards.

I  made the note card holder from a sheet of 12 x 12 DSP. There’s no cutting or adhesive needed!  Just score, fold, and tuck!

Diane Barnes posted a great tutorial how to make these.  You can download her instructions HERE. I adapted mine to hold more cards.  I followed her instructions except I scored it 2, 5 3/4, 6 1/4 and 10 on one side then turned and scored the other side at 2 1/2 and 8 1/4. It holds all 4 note cards and envelopes.

I love the True Gentleman Suite! I usually struggle with masculine cards but the Tailored Tag Punch and True Gentleman Designer Series Paper make it easy. The Navy Corduroy Ribbon is retiring but the punch will carry over. (*There is a beautiful new stamp set to go with it for both men and women in the new catty!)

Now that you see how easy it is to create using this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge Board, I hope you will create something to share.  You could be the next guest designer! Make sure you visit the Tic Tac Toe Challenge to see what the other designers created this week!

Have a wonderful day!

  1. OMG I love this card and all the rest as well as that holder! This is my type of card. I will need to get another pack of that paper (hope it is still available) soon! Then, I can’t believe this great card matched up all 9 spaces on the Tic Tac Toe board! No idea of what your hidden message is but by looking at your card, Easy Peasy – Fast and Easy comes to mind. What a wonderful project post on this pretty day – we had yuck yesterday from thunderstorm to hail to ice and then snow and rain again plus a very cold wind. As the old Irish Spring soap commercial said, “Masculine yes, but I like it too!”

    1. I remember that Irish Spring commercial! Too funny! You always bring a smile to my face. Check inventory status Chris! That DSP is low inventory as of today. My other favorites (Daisy, Whole Lot of Lovely, and Petal Garden have already SOLD OUT!) Don’t delay!

  2. Awesome cards, Jeanie! I love the clean and simple style. These would be great for my husband to use as well. When he asks me to make cards for him to use, he says, “But don’t put all that stuff on them!” Thanks for the great idea!

  3. Hey . . . Good Morning Jeanie! I hope you are having a good day in school. If you have this damp weather there, like here, I hope your elbow isn’t in pain. This set of cards is the bomb! I love them. I’m sure going to make some of these.
    Happy Thursday.
    🙂

    1. THanks! I hope you will give the TTT Challenge a try! It is fun and easy to create picking 3 elements. I always end up with something I probably would not have though of otherwise! I found the elements on this board really easy to incorporate.

    1. I wanted to make something different for the note cards this time and found this when I searched. I made a different one another time with a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock but it was basically to hold a card and gift card. I wanted to put more cards in it. Easy to adjust the center line. I love how easy it is to make. No cutting or adhesive needed! Just score, fold, and tuck!

    1. Great job! I bet you are really good at crossword puzzles! Normally I just have 1 word elements. I had to put “add” and “use” to get those letters to spell out my favorite products!

  4. GREAT board Jeanie! And amazingly hansom cards!!! LOVE them!! I could not for the life of me figure out the hidden message! I am so, so horrible at that stuff!! Thanks you Linda Schilling!!!

  5. Awesome cards and I love the gift box to put them in. I am going to miss this paper but I am sure the new DSP will not disappoint. I agree, Ramsey, thank you Linda for figuring out the hidden message! So clever of you, Jeanie.

    1. I am going to miss that paper too! I love these colors for masculine cards yet it’s versatile enough for other projects too! We always have beautiful florals and the new catalog will not disappoint but I am stocking up on this pack.

  6. FABULOUS….and the way they all come together in the holder – ICING ON THE CAKE! This is such a handsome DSP….and you are sooooo right, a perfect way to have cards for Carl to have on hand…..I ask you -…..do you give him stamps!!!!????

  7. I have recently landed on your website and am LOVING all I see. I am a hobbyist demonstrator and always looking for ideas. My son (26) asked for thank you cards last evening and looking for something masculine landed on your samples. Thank you! Your ideas, these and others are inspiring. I will continue to check back regularly.
