P is for Party Pandas… Plus a Paper Pumpkin Promotion!

Welcome to my ABC “Sale-A-Bration” Series! This series showcases products from the 2018 Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochures. The Party Pandas are just adorable!  I have had so much fun playing with this stamp set! There’s only two weeks left of Sale-A-Bration and your chance to get this stamp set for FREE! Today’s card is for someone who has a special St. Patrick’s Day birthday!

Stampin Up Party Pandas Celebrate card idea for birthday or St. Patrick's Day - Jeanie Stark StampinUp

I just know she is going to enjoy the chocolate balloon Mr. Panda is delivering! I used The Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper and the Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper (both from the Occasions catalog). Here’s my card details:

Card Base: 4 1/4 x 11 Whisper White scored at 5 1/2

Layer: 4 x 5 1/4 Tranquil Tide (embossed with Celebrations Duo Embossing Folder)

DSP Layer: 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper

Glimmer Strip: 1/4 x 5 1/4

I stamped the Party Panda on the DSP layer and Whisper White cardstock with Basic Black Ink.  I fussy cut the Whisper White one and adhered on top of the DSP. (Oops!  I noticed I need to clean up my glue before I send this!)  I used the 1 1/2 Circle Punch to punch the balloon through both layers.

I adhered the layer to my card base then attached the candy with a glue dot. I will send this is a bubble wrap envelope but I still decorated the card envelope to match.

  1. Love the pandas! I really like the chocolate being glued to the inside base and peeking through. What a fun card. (And envelope. Gotta dress up the envelope no matter what!) Thanks again for the inspiration.

  2. Ohhhhh, I am sure hoping this card is for me! I love, love, love it even if it isn’t for me! I need the chocolates for my people I send the combo card and a little present to for next year. I could always buy them and eat them but save the wrappers for next year by covering some other chocolate! It wouldn’t be very nice to send 1 year old chocolates! My arm/shoulder gave out this week so the shamrock treat holders were very limited by the time I made a bunch of cards too. But, the pandas are just so cute. My moose has competition! The postal clerk got a big kick out of the shamrocks on my envelopes and the bigger bags I sent.

Love the Paper Pumpkin alternative photos. You can tell they love meeting with you to make up the kits.

Congrats to Debbie H for the big win!

Thank you Jeanie, I hope! Boy, won’t I be disappointed if the card isn’t for me? Insert a sad, red faced puffed out bottom lip!

    1. Yes Chris, the card was mailed to you! You are the only “lucky” person I know with a St. Patrick’s Day birthday! I hope it arrives Saturday. I am so glad you like it! I was hoping you wouldn’t see it until it arrived!

      1. Remind next year and I will send you a bag of the chocolates so you can use them in your treat holders. I haven’t seen those anywhere except the candy store. Places seem to skip St, Patrick’s Day and go right in to Easter. I haven’t been to my favorite Cracker Barrel lately so not sure if they had anything for St. Patrick’s Day! I’m behind on Easter…it’s so early this year! I can’t believe it is competing with my fun on April Fool’s Day!!! LOL

  3. Oh I can’t wait to see this in person! I think you will like my “moose” attempt at St. Patrick’s Day for you too! Even some of the good candy for Easter has been gone for weeks already. Before we know it we will blink and there will be Halloween candy on the shelves!

  4. Oh Jeanie, the card was even better in person and the chocolate was divine! Thank you so much!
