K is for Kit…Be Merry

Welcome to my Holiday ABC series!  Today I am sharing a fun kit from the Holiday catalog… the Be Merry Kit. This all-inclusive kit has everything necessary to make 12 rosette ornaments (6 each of 2 designs). These are so festive and fun to make!

Look at everything that comes in the kit!

You can hang them on your tree or wreath or use as gift tags or on packages.

I love the idea of putting them on gift bags and packages and then the recipient can hang on their tree! (I used a piece of washi tape to adhere the string inside the bag.  It’s easy to remove to hang the ornament.)

I added the circle tags to the back.  The Cheers to Years Stamp Set is great for making a tag for a bottle of wine or champagne and there are so many stamp sets that have to and from stamps (Labels to Love, Snowflake Sentiments, Tags & Trimmings…).

Check out this video to see how quick & easy these are to put together!

I had so much fun making these and love that I have a head start on tags/gifts! These would be great to give as a little gift to coworkers! Here’s a few close ups!

  1. I love rosettes. Before I retired I would make rosettes with my class, put a small photo in the center and send them home as parent gifts. It’s a great way to teach measurement. I have this kit and plan to use these on my tree.

  2. Congrats to the New Jersey Mary Ann – you lucky dog, I loved that card yesterday! I am sure there will be more that I love just as much.

This kit looks fun. At least you don’t have to fold each little pleat. Silly me decided for the recycled tree project I was going to make dozens of the rosettes and had to fold each crease and then still work with them. Of course I first tried newspapers and had more newspaper ink on me than anything. The Big Shot ended up cutting through the crease lines on the newspaper since it was so thin. What a mess. I finally ended up making 2 dozen good ones and said good enough. I vowed never again so I don’t think I am quite ready to tackle this kit yet. The memories (nightmares) are too fresh even though it has been a couple years. I really like the center little wooden sentiment on there though…..
